Hi all, can't wait to keep reading the updates. I opted for a PHEV given my minimal commute but still like the feeling that I'm able to "go" when needed. The ICE/electric motor combo seemed like it could do the trick. I'm aware the X5 won't be as nimble as my X3, but favored more space and features.

Anyone else have the same dilemma or made the switch? Looking for positive reinforcement here...lol Open to hearing any regrets as well.

Pick mine up this afternoon. 2025 X5 xDr50e, Tanzanite Blue II, Silverstone interior. This is assuming that road noise I heard during test drive was the artificial sound generated when in elec/hybrid mode so driver knows engine is running.

Can you post pictures of that X5 Tanzenite blue interior with Silverstone? Silverstone Sensafin or did you somehow get the dealer to put in Individual real leather in Silverstone color ? I’ve been debating that blue outside/white interior combo vs alpine white/Tarfuto brown inside.

Wondering how the 50e is holding up now? Used to drive an x3 m40i and LOVED every bit of it but looking for a better mileage family vehicle that has the same power and handling as the m40i.

Does this live up to its hype? How's the maintenance?

my car will have the tanzanite/ tartufo combo, really looking forward to it arriving soon

Sorry to note your issue, hope you get a resolution asap.

Aside a quick query, I got by 50e a couple of weeks back. Still pretty much driven in electric mode (70%). I might have to get to the gas station sometime in the next couple of weeks only I guess. Wanted to know what is the recommended Gas for the X550e, is it 91 or 93 Rating or 89 will also do?

The X5 50e is surely a great machine totally - so huge congrats!!


That said, I still feel the 45e is a great car - shares very much of the same.
We have a 2021 45e and still so happy.

Perfect for us - drive electric every day to work - and no worries for a long drive. Just perfect.



But here...in the bush - the "environmentally perfect" Norway they have decided to add extra taxes and fees to hybrid cars and this makes the 50e about 50% more expensive than the 21 45e.


I mean...not a slight price increase but 50%. Just sad and clearly against any environmental friendly common sense.
