Hello all! I currently have a 2019 BMW X5 m50i and am about to upgrade to a 2024 X5 M Competition (factory order).

I wanted to ask if pricing/discount details are usually discussed after the car is built and arrives at the dealership? I just got off the phone with the local Vegas dealer today and he mentioned that usually, it's a deposit to place a factory order and a credit check; when it's finally built and delivered only then will we dive further into prices.

I don't really trust dealers these days so wanted to ask everyone here!

Welcome to the forum. Skip that dealer, they are trying to screw you likely with an ADM and mandatory extras. All of the pricing details should be ironed out prior to making the order. The only unknown can be what incentives are available.

I just ordered. We agreed on a price before I signed and paid the deposit.

I just ordered an M60i and pricing & finance rate were all discussed and agreed upon already.

I knew something was amiss... Both dealers in Vegas are telling me the same thing... Do anyone have recommendations for more "honest" dealers and preferably don't price above MSRP near me...?

Keyword is "Vegas." I've heard plenty of that from Vegas dealers of all makes and models.

If you can shop around out of the area, please do. Granted mine was a 50e and not an M, but you can do better--at least, more up-front and honest. First place I went played hardball and gave me a terrible deal with the ridiculous addenda. Also threw in a side of mansplaining about how the economy works and how "car buying has changed, everyone pays at least MSRP now." Thanks but no thanks.

Ended up going back to the dealer I bought my X3 M40i from a few years ago. They gave me a much better deal, all agreed to before ordering. Deposit fully refundable too, by the way. They're two hours away, but they'll get all my business, service and referrals from now on--including a second purchase soon.

Please keep on looking and/or take the referrals from other people on here. You can do better. Good luck!

See if you can find an auto broker / leasing company in your area. I personaly found that they don't have pre canned sales pitches like most dealers do, they'll just tell you how it works straight up.

Yeah, dont order from that dealer. They are being shady. I confirmed all my details and price before my order was submitted. You should be able to get at least 5% off on a individual X5m order
