Super excited just ordered!
Hi
I'll be a first time BMW owner. I just ordered the X5 Xdrive40i and have a production number Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic Silverstone Sensafin Premium pkg Driving Assistance Pro pkg Parking Assistance pkg I was very disappointed that the Comfort Climate pkg isn't available and the dealer didn't know when it might be back I did order front and rear heated seats. Don't know if I'm missing out on the ventilated seats (I've read pros and cons here on the forum, which has been very helpful) Multicontour seats Rear manual side shades Space saver spare (eventually want Non RF tires) All Weather mats and luggage compartment mat Dealer automatically added wheel locks and charged for them I asked for the BMW advanced Car Eye 3.0 but the sales person says the order isn't allowing him to add it??? Is this true as it still shows on the BMW build a car website? I got 5% off MSRP (that was the lowest I could find at dealers in my area) I have a question; I went with the stock 20" wheels as I didn't want to go with the 21 or 22 wheels as I prefer a comfort ride. And reading here the 21" and 22" Non RF tires are hard to find. I did check around and it did seem hard to find tires that size. My question is, I found some Beyern wheels that I like. They are Flow Formed Technology. Does anyone have experience with this brand and type of wheel? And is it advisable to get PPF? Thanks in advance! Last edited by horseygrl; 09-10-2023 at 07:43 PM.. |

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your order.
Your CA is correct, Advanced Car Eye is currently unavailable for order due to supply issues. I have heard of that brand but have no personal experience with them.

I think the ventilated seats might only come with leather seating? I've always done PPF just on the front of the car...Full hood and panels. Think PFF on the entire car is overkill, but that's just me. I would never do 21"+ wheels mainly cuz the NE roads are horrible in the winter. One winter I blew out two tires and cracked a rim driving over potholes on the highway. If I could I'd get 15" donuts. |

When available, the Climate Comfort package can be ordered with either Sensafin or Merino.

Nice build. I'd add M sport package as the 20" Msport wheels are much better looking. Run Flats get a bad rap but I suggest you drive a few thousand miles on them before buying aftermarket wheels. RFTs are much better today than they were 6-8 years ago. Good decision to add the spare.
