There was a similar blown pass interference call in 2003 Fiesta Bowl BCS Championship game.

Difference is that the DB was facing the ball, but similar to Rams-Saints in which the DB never saw the ball.

This time, the call was made, and Miami fans and Ohio State haters still complain to this day.

My point is, one way or another, either side is going to complain. Btw, the compliant for this play was that "the sideline judge shouldn't have called it on such an important play", which is kind of bullshit if you think about it. A penalty is a penalty whether it's on the first play of the game or the last play of the game.

This play was extremely close and I can see arguments for it to go either way.

The Saints non-call was so obviously a penalty. Frankly there were three potential penalties that could have called on the defender. Add on top the reaction of the ref in the video I posted where he shuts down the other ref ready to throw the flag. And he just happens to be from Socal... Not going to change anything but imagine the outcry from LA fans if the roles were reversed and the ref was from Louisiana.

Personally dont think it's as significant as they make out. Helmet to helmet probably but from behind, the angle they keep showing, you cant tell if the ball has arrived yet. To me looks like ball arriving and hit are really close to same time.

Can agree with that but the ref who had the angle to see that the ball wasn't there when the receiver gets hit gets shut down but that ref who calls it incomplete. Since when does one ref tell another to not throw a flag? I can seeing conferring after and picking up the flag saying there was no penalty but that side judge has no business telling the other ref to not throw his flag Then there is helmet to helmet or even targeting a defenseless player.

The defender was never looking at the ball, that is usually the first thing you look for in a pass interference call. If you are not making a play for the ball, even if you are there at the same time as the ball arrives, that is almost always pass interference.

It's not even as bad as that Fail Mary crap years ago with the replacement refs. That literally cost the Packers the game since the clock was at 00:00 and they never saw the ball again.

At the end of the day after all that, Sean Payton made some questionable calls which resulted in a field goal. You won the toss in OT and threw a pick.

Time to move on.

Coming from someone whose teams blew a 28-3 lead, and what, two 14 point leads versus Alabama in consecutive years... all you can do is get over it.

I'll resist giving you a hard on that as I feel your pain, especially as an LSU who has lived under Saban's thumb for a long time now! My last comment is that while what you said is true about overtime at the end of the day the refs get that call right, we don't have overtime, we kick the field goal with no time left and the game is over.

Yeah, it sucks but that's life. One of our local ambulance chasing plaintiffs' attorneys just filed a lawsuit against the NFL, good luck with that!

Personally not a fan of Brady and the Pats. Totally respect what they've done but not a fan... And certainly not going to cheer for the Rams. Don't see myself watching the Super Bowl.

Fruits and vegetables from the nightshade family are staple foods for many people. Nightshades are nutritious, healthful foods and the idea that they cause inflammation is not supported by evidence. Nightshade foods contain solanine, a chemical which some people believe may aggravate arthritis pain or inflammation.

List of Inflammatory Nightshade Vegetables & Fruits

•Tomatoes: All varieties.
•Potatoes: White and red potatoes, but not sweet potatoes.
•Eggplant.
•Peppers: Bell peppers, chili peppers, and any red spices.
•Paprika.
•Tobacco.
•Goji berries.

Interesting stuff. I stopped the tomato consumption because I read about it aggravating arthritis and causing inflammation. But I didn’t know about all these other “nightshade” foods. I have an arthritic left shoulder. Thanks for the info 👍

Ouch. Love me some tomatoes. And I have arthritis in my thumbs. Tough to give up 'maters and taters, though.

Tecmo did simulations that predicted Rams will beat Pats 24-21. They correctly predicted Eagles beating Pats last year.
