Edit: just seen your on 2020 so probably not coded ADV. In that case check the 4 code settings and change where different to yours.....

OK. I think I'll leave mine the way it is. I like how I can toggle back and forth between the views by simply pressing the MODE button instead of going through iDrive.

I have the map in the HUD and the ADV in the centre console.

You can still set ADV to come on only when DA is engaged. The extra coding just gives the option to have it permanently on, like in the scenario I described.

Easy to do with Esys. Just have to VO code the "decode antidazzle" feature off. Esys is free software and VO coding does not require a token, so you don't need Launcher Pro or EsysX.

I've done it on mine. I'm amazed at how well it works.

Not me specifically but with Esys and a token you can unlock a lot of things. Bimmercode is nice because it has a GUI that's easy for a novice, but also allows some "advanced" coding. Esys + a token unlocks everything. It's more of an intermediate to expert level knowledge of coding. Knowledge is power though, so with the Esys route you have to be very careful because you can certainly mess things up on your car if you go in all willy nilly.

I coded it twice but my fog lights doesnt automatically come on with just parking lights on.

Yes, apparently dubsesd has done it and I asked him how but he never responded. It's funny that he only responds to certain questions and ignores some but oh well. Let me know if you figure out how to have the fog lights coded

So the coding description actually says able to turn fog lights on WHEN parking lights are active.

Whats annoying is the fact that we cant turn on parking or fog lights while driving.

I dont remember prior to coding if i could have fog lights come on or no with just parking lights active. The load for the BDC takes too long so im leaving it at this.

Is there a way to code so we can freely operate the light controls as if it was the old school dial knob?

Some don't have it for some reason, but coding the other 3 should enable it.

I 'think' it might be profile related but it doesn't seem to cause an issue if not available.

Some don't have cb_preselect* available and this prevents from being able to permanently set ADV on in Idrive display i.e. ADV only appears when DA is active.

I included all 4 codes in the original published coding as that is how it was bundled as a retro fit for other markets.
