????? I could give a rip whether you get it or not and wondered why you created the post since there was no question in it. Perhaps you should read what was posted and not just read into things. Forums are for people to discuss various issues, give advice, joke around, etc., that is why people are here. There is a wealth of information and experience available for folks that want to take advantage of it. Some don't and that is fine but many learn from reading threads that they did not create so conversations frequently expand from the original post.

I did read my post. Here is my question that was in it:

"I had the Executive pkg and anthracite headline on my build, but after sitting down and going through what you get on it, I am having my doubts and wanted others opinions."

I didn't mention DAPP, you did. I explained why I don't want it and then you made a post asking why I made the thread. I made the thread to discuss the executive package. Not sure why you felt the need to question why I made the trhead.

No, you didn't read the post. We are referring to mine that you responded to saying you never mentioned DAP. Check out number 23 - "There were options you mentioned that you wanted so we have been trying to help with those and others that you may like or make the vehicle better." Do you understand when looking at the bolded text? DAP would fall into that category.

As far as questioning why you created the thread, I see that went right over your head. I don't think explaining it would help as it was tongue-in-cheek/sarcasm. Good luck.

at first I thought there is no way I would pay for the glass controls. then the CPO I found had the executive package and I thought the glass would be annoying. turns out you get used to it real quick and it is pretty nice. led sunroof though is a bit goofy imo

Regarding Glass Controls - I like the way the pre-LCI shifter feels, and I tend to use it more than the paddles. On the LCI I wouldn’t want to pay for it…. :-)

I have the exec package in my m60i and have zero buyers remorse. I like the rear sunshades, soft close doors and glass controls. Much better than the cheap look and feel of the regular plastic gear selector and idrive controller. Passengers always comment positively on the glass controls. I also think the alcantara headliner looks good. However, I could live without the Sky Lounge LED, as I never have the moon roof cover open.

Leases are tricky in Texas and Illinois. The only two states that require you to pay the sales tax for the whole car value up front (instead of on the portion used) and they also make getting out of a lease early very tricky. They require you to purchase your car from BMW Financial before you can sell it to a 3rd party or trade it in, and that requires paying sales tax again on that transaction and then the buyer will pay sales tax for a 3rd time.

So a $100k car is $6250 in sales tax and then another $4k +/_ in sales tax if you want to sell instead of turning it back in

I think if anything DAP might actually depreciate less than most other options, simply because as the feature becomes more prevalent on newer cars, the demand will translate to used cars as well.

See also "Apple CarPlay"--that feature alone takes most pre-2018 cars off the market for me.
