Don't label him verbose solely because your diction is flaccid.

His statement would either get me laughing or rolling my eyes so hard they'd get stuck in the back of my head. I imagine you took that well.

On that note, I had a walking thesaurus roommate in college. He used the unit of "cubit" to describe a length of rope one time.

So we picked out floors earlier, but the hubby is being really difficult. He wants these almost 30 cm wide oak lanks (we call it parquet here, wood but the under layers are different wood sorry I ran out of vocabulary). Grey and abt 130 euros per m2.

I want avocado floor (oak, the name was avocado, so I'm going to fucking use it), same structure, dark, half the price.

My floors would last the age of a wooden floor, and hide the destruction made by kids and dogs fairly well. His floors however can be sanded down twice (mine once) so my question is and do note I will show your answer to him: We will live in the flat for 2-6 months. How many fucking sandings will our floor have to endure considering our dogs nails have short nails (never touching the floor) and the kids play with hard toys inly on carpets, and our lobby will have tiles, and it is a flat so all shit falls to the common area?

I put some softer "Tiger" wood in the front of the house, and was assured I could do at least two sanding before I would have to replace it. That was probably 10 years ago, still haven't sanded it once. Area rugs FTW! to cover major scratches. Indoor dogs, and babysitting of a large portion of the local family members.

Old me would have walked right into a sexist comment about the 3 individuals opinion.

New me is simply walking away as my haters/Fan (v1) are left wondering ..."what the hell man?"

Ayn Rand was against government assistance and criticized people who took government benefits, calling them parasites, moochers etc. At the end she applied for government assistance.

Maybe i'm an idiot too, she seems like a hypocrite to me.

Anna ...
I placed my 22 mm massive oak parquet floors by myself and also 4 floors in my family ...
And of course massive oak is not cheap !
Advice...
You said above it's only for 2-6 months , so Anna don't invest too much money in it and just go for 2-3 good waterproof protection coats of varnish , so you can clean it also with water because I know what dogs can do ect....

Here is one of my oak floors...

Oh, is that what a hypocrite is? If only I had known before entering into a discussion about it.

To my knowledge, she did not apply for government assistance. She took only social security because she viewed it as restitution - it's money you've paid in yourself. She opposed the forced redistribution of of wealth, as she believed it was not ours to redistribute. If she had collected welfare (i.e., someone else's funds), it would be hypocritical. To reclaim your own earnings from the state was something she saw as decreasing the injustice of being forced to pay it in in the first place.

Oh jeez...where to start.

As a fellow INTJ, I have to come to the defense of Ayn and just say that there's a difference in moral objectivism when it comes to the redistribution of collective wealth vs. individual wealth.

I won't call you an idiot, but perhaps ignorant. This is a tired argument and those of us familiar with the ARI know better.

I've installed flooring for three summer houses and seven houses and one flat. It is by far my favorite step in any project I've ever done.

Dude I'll keep the flat. I'm just buying a tiny one to teach my kids a lesson and also to get a better picture of the today's market and the design elements used now. I've been out of touch for two years.

Thanks for your concern Phil.
