You can order luxury seating with Vernasca. Based on the ordering guide, one cannot order ZLS with SensaTec. Though the online configurator doesn't allow you to order ZLS with black vernasca with brown contrast stitching.

I couldn't stand the brake dust on our M-Sport X5-35i. The wheels were literally black in 2 weeks, it's an E70. When I went to do a brake job, I swapped them for some Akebono Euro Ceramic with new rotors (should be much less dust, which they were). I've never felt a pedal with so much sponge and zero initial bite. I immediately thought it was a hydraulic issue, air in the lines. I bled the system, also went to BMW and they bled it twice, there was nothing else to bleed. Tried them for 1000 miles "break-in", no change. So I swapped the pads for some new OEM pads, and the problem was gone immediately. Stiff pedal, bite was amazing, confidence restored. I ended up Ceramic Coating my wheels with Gyeon, and all I have to do now is take a power washer to them. 65% of the dust is gone in about 20 seconds per wheel. The remainder comes off very quickly with Adams Iron Remover & Eco Wheel Cleaner (and it doesn't smell bad like the Adams Wheel Cleaner), that takes about 1 minute per Wheel. I believe brake pads are one of those "you can't have it all" pieces to a car, there are trade offs, and for performance, dust is the trade off. Similar to why some pads need to be heated up for track use, for example Hawk DTC60's. Obviously the trade off here, was when I used them, I couldn't drive on the street with them (due to the low temperature squeal, a little embarrassing with clients in the car, they thought my brakes had a problem). I've also driven a couple of MB/Audi's, maybe they weren't a sport line vehicle, but the initial bite and modulation (more pressure = faster stopping) wasn't there, which didn't give me a good level of confidence in the braking system. I can only believe they are using some kind of hybrid pad, but perhaps they prefer less dust. I will say that my neighbors 2016 S550 is a brake dust king. Once again though, to stop that tank, a higher performance pad is probably required, more dust. I've done a couple of X5-50i M-Sport brake jobs with the OEM M-Sport pads and I can't tell you how good they feel. 5300lb truck stops on a dime, I'm pretty blown away. I haven't fumbled around with any BMW fixed piston caliper setups (Brembo), had them on my tracked daily driver with the DTC60's, but I'd be curious if you can get similar performance of braking characteristics (initial bite, modulation, fade) with a lower dust / ceramic pad, my personal opinion is it's just not technically possible. Anyhow - Get the M-Sport brakes on the X5 and code brake force to "flashing" so you don't get rear ended when you stop on a dime. |

Carbon black or alpine white and coral red is always a great choice imo
