Take a wet sponge to that leather until it's soaked and then a blow dryer set on high - DONE.

Wrinkling rear seats reminds me of the crap you might expect from GM or a Fiat.
I'm not here to judge other brands...

just saying that I cannot accept that for that amount of money...

I haven't seen my car in a week so I wonder if they moved too

The coated leather will not absorb much water, if any, so I don't think this method will work. Might work on the Merino or Nappa if it isn't coated but I'm pretty sure Vernasca is coated.

The rear wrinkles are sooo minor and easy to fix if they bother you. It’s not like it’s permanent. A hot wet wash cloth and a warm hairdryer. It’s best to do this in the summer time. YouTube is full of instructions how to do this. I have done this on Laguna leather, Napa and others.

Absolutely, I taught a PCA interior detailing seminar years back and this was one of my demonstrations for old and new leather seats. Remember years ago the gathered leather was very popular in German cars but it tends to look sloppy after a decade or so of use. Using this technique pulls the leather back into its original factory look. If you ever see anyone instal Katzins, this is a must to get the wrinkles out. The minor wrinkles on the BMW rear seats is nothing to remove. Professional upholsterers use the steamer. A hot wet washcloth and hairdryer accomplishes the same.

Would like to see some before and after shots. I'm assuming if someone is planning to add a Leather Protector product, like Gyeon LeatherShield, that the Hot wet washcloth trick should be performed first so the leather will absorb the water.

It must have absolutely killed you to learn that unintentionally , you were actually being helpful around here instead of just your usual trolling, bashing and baiting

MystroX5 - bravo good job!

Tarfuto Leather.

Two more questions. First on the first photos I saw the glass transmission handle and I would like to know if its worth the $650. The second question is the leather dash if I get it is it black or is it going to be the Tarfuto leather?

Glass controls look nice, but is it worth it? Up to you. Glass controls include shifter, iDrive controller and volume knob.

Leather dash is always black unless you order beige Vernasca then the leather dash is coffee.

Originally I thought that the glass controls didn't really look that nice, from pictures and video reviews. Then my dealer showed me one with the glass controls that they received and I changed my mind. IMHO, they look much, much nicer in person.

Here are some of the front, hope to take some better ones this weekend. To me it looks more like milk chocolate but varies depending on sun or shade.

Glass controls take it from a high end auto to a opulent motor. It’s these type of extravagant design touches that sets BMW apart from MB Porsche, Audi, etc.. You would expect it from Rolls or Bentley.

Local BMW Genius with a big penius told me all X5's come with the rear seats being crinkled. When I asked him why not the fronts too he replied, "BMW does some weird things at times and never has an explanation as to why".

He also noted that the wrinkled seats are done "because leather shrinks with age".

BULLshit, literally. Organic or not..... all fabrics stretch with age.

If you don't like the wrinkles, don't buy the car. Yours will have wrinkles too. It's not a big deal man.

I may not "but" it. BUT, they have made me a deal I can't refuse.

Thanks for your words of wisdom and sound advice.
