MOVIE POLL: Star Wars (original), have you seen them?
Have you or have you not seen the original star wars movies. Not the episode 1-3 crap. I'm talking about 4-6: New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi.

I still remember when the Imperial cruiser flew over my head in Grumman's Chinese Theater. That was the best movie experience (with my parents) ever.

1/2/3 sucked.
4/5/6 (originals) were a LOT better

you have to take 1/2/3 for what they were; less action more building of the story and backgound; Lucas never intended to make 1/2/3 movies but then made them for the true fans.

They are remaking them from what I read, and ill wait to watch them then. I dont like watching old movies, especially ones with the type of graphics they have. itll be much better when they redo them.

I can guarantee you they won't be. I'll take the original trilogy with it's primitive (although cutting edge for it's time) effects over the remade version, even if it has some crazy 3D shit or something.

The original movies have influenced several generations, and they are truly epic in so many ways. Yoda freaked me out when I went back because he seemed so dead, but they were still amazing.

Collin, if you haven't watched the original just give it a chance man. Watch first two movies. RotJ is still aite but you can see Lucas' evil touch (Ewoks). I think the special effects are still pretty good to this day or at least they still don't look bad to this day. Just curious, have you seen Godfather? I only ask because ironically I haven't really seen all of them. I mean, I've probably seen all the movies pieced together over the years, but have only really watched part 1. |

I tried watching one of them and couldn't get into it. But hey that's just my opinion. I like LOTR and a lot of my friends hated it. (LOTR comment is so you don't think I'm anti-nerd)

no way any remake can be better. whats epic about those movies was how bad ass everything looked at the time. There are movies in the late 90s that dont have better special effects. I truly hope they dont remake them. There is plenty of story line for them to explore. Leave the classics alone!
