These numbers are awful. In a couple of years, I imagine you'll see these for around $1350-$1500 with $0 DAS, similar to M5 Comp prices right now.

That's at least the hope because that's a payment I'd be willing to jump in on. Also hoping the Spartanburg plant is able to do most/all Individual colors by then so i can get a Frozen Marina Bay Blue version. Alas, I dream...

Makes way more sense to buy vs lease at these prices. Makes it tough to do an X5M over an M5 unless you really need an SUV. As a comparison my M5 with a $125K sticker is $1260/mo with just $2200 in drive offs.

This is the sweet spot deal I'm hoping comes around at my current lease end for X5M. I don't think I can move back down from SUV to sedan, even though the driving dynamics are likely way better on the M5.

X5M Competition
MSRP: 123,795
Money Down: 4,000 Includes 1st month, aq fee, tags, doc fee, and like 600 cap reduction.
Monthly: $1480

Same deal is available in PA on a Black on Sakhir Orange. I backed out last minute and went to another dealer with the Blue on black color-way. He will honor the deal for anyone. Shoot me a pm ill send contact info.

Got a quote on a base model F95:

MSRP: $111,395.00
Discount: $8400.00
MF: unknown (waiting to hear from CA but I'm assuming it's marked the f*ck up because I can't replicate these numbers on Leasehackr)
Sale Price: 102,995.00
DAS: $2,712.00
Monthly: $1,529.00

Provided I can get the actual money factor, should I shoot for more or pull the trigger on this? Also got a deal on a base M8GC w/ $135K MSRP that with the rebates and discount comes out to ~$1,731.00/month w/ $1731.00 DAS.

Thoughts?

if you get the base money factor, then it's a good deal even if it includes loyalty rebate.

Everyone should aim for 5-7% off dealer discount before rebates along with base MF.

Do not pay MSRP or over sticker. You can even order 2021s for 5-7% off all day.

I would check Edmunds for the money factor and residual for the vehicle. Also, ask Edmunds for the incentives for your specific zip code. Then, using those, go to the Leasehackr calculator and input the numbers you have with the MF/Residual you get from Edmunds to see the difference.

That should at least tip you off on whether the MF is being inflated.

Dan, I agree (we've talked separately about discounts), definitely don't accept anything below 5%. I've had 4 dealers offer $8000+ off, but getting BMWFS to play ball is the problem. I'm finding the chain dealerships are offering the biggest discounts.

Per a June 8, 2020 Bloomberg article: "Sales at Daimler AG’s luxury brand fell 14% in the first six months compared with BMW’s 28% plunge. After posting much better second-quarter numbers on Wednesday, Mercedes leads BMW by almost 18,000 vehicles...BMW, which won the U.S. luxury sales crown last year for the first time since 2015, said sales of its big three-row SUV, the X7, slumped 38% in the second quarter, while deliveries of its mid-size X3 crossover fell 45%."

I think a lot of these dealers/CAs pushing the "sales are normal/higher than normal" narrative are dreaming.

Do we think the August program will offer any additional incentives like say the M8?

I tried and tried to replicate before posting on Leasehackr using the base money factor (at the time of the post .00118) and even marked it up to .0020 (Porsche FS numbers!) and couldn't replicate. No worries though. I literally tried and tried to get someone to respond after the initial offer and never got a response. The dealership has pretty crappy reviews (this CA in particular was getting roasted) online.

Anyone seeing any price drops on the base model? Without at least 10-12% discount, I'm not seeing the math work on the Base M vs. the Competition.

Thoughts?
