Best Color for X5 & why (personal preference)

Individual paints are $5k, $5,500 for frozen. Tanzanite is not available for the 50e so BMW would have rejected your order should you have tried for it.

Tanzanite is not $5k since it is not available as an Individual paint. It is available as a Priority 1 paint for the M60i for $1,950.

Please see above, it is not available in the US as an Individual color.

This was the information I was given by my sales advisor after the dealership consulting with BMW. I know it is not an available color under BMW individual for the X5 but that’s the information I was given. Thanks

I did try to order tanzanite in the US and got rejected. I went with midnight sapphire ii.

My first BMW, an F30 was alpine white, while I loved the color I decided to go with Mineral on my F80. So glad I did. The alpine almost looked dull and never popped like the mineral does. If I go white again it will always be mineral for me.

As far as X5 I totally agree that the non M colors are not the best. I would probably go with Mineral again if I had to choose. Luckily I have the X5M on order so went with a color this time, MBB, which I think looks really good.

So I cannot decide between mineral white and skyscraper grey for my order. I am ocd about my cars so want a color that stays clean looking for longer after wash. Anyone have recommendation or experience with Skyscraper grey in this regard? Also planning on cognac interior but would love to hear what other folks think as the best interior color with skyscraper or mineral white

I went with skyscraper gray and coffee interior. I wanted a change from dark graphite I have now and my wife's Q7 is white, so that eliminated it as an option.

If you're truly OCD, you'd get the color you want and just wash it more.

I think if you do get Skyscraper, consider something other than cognac. Personal opinion, but for my eyes, it doesn't go well with the silvers/grays. I really like the Silverstone with Skyscraper or Brooklyn, but if that's too risky...then black works well.

White and cognac is a good look, as is white and coffee.

Every car I've had over the past 35 years has been black or some shade of grey. I have a love/hate relationship with black. When I had it, I hated it unless it was freshly washed. When I had grey, I had black envy. I ordered my 2022 in MBB. I call it my mid life crisis color. I love it.

Love carbon black! Have it on my 760 and it is such sophisticated color and looks amazing on bigger cars. Problem is it shows smallest amount of dust and I don’t want to be washing it every day 😃 but great point on black envy on greys so probably going to stick mineral white
