How do your golf clubs fit in the cargo area?

Are you able to fit your clubs in sideways? 2 sets? or do they have to be at an angle or longer clubs removed from the bag, to fit properly?

I either have to put them in at a slight angle, or I have to take my driver out of the bag and lay it on top of the bag. I guess its possible if I had a different bag, that things might fit without me taking the driver out.

I wish BMW took golf bags into consideration like they once did. I can remember in my old E34 5-series there was a diagram on the underside of the trunk lid of how to fit three golf bags into the trunk.

BMW used to put a diagram in the trunk of the 5-series (and maybe others) that would show you the optimal way to cart your golf clubs around. I think Porsche used to do the same thing, I can't remember. A lot of these "country club" convertibles are designed such that you can cart at least one set of clubs around.

Same. One trolley and bag is easy, bag at an angle but two bags need to take the drivers out.

What type of carry bag do you have? My carry bag (Sun Mountain 4.5, with a Ping G400 Driver) will not fit unless I turn it at an angle.

You have an E39 as your Avatar so I assumed you had or have one. My E39 M5 and others came with that badge in the trunk which instructed individuals on how to place their golf bags in the trunk for optimum storage. I jokingly stated that if they still had that plaque you would have your answer.

Haha. Yes, I used to have an E39 M5. Glorious car, and it did have a nice diagram for placing 3 bags.
I am considering a new x6, and just wanting to know how how they would fit. Having to angle the bags really decreases cargo capacity if you are traveling with a few suitcases, and taking clubs out is a slight PITA.

I am assuming the X6, and X5 have the same floor/side configuration and width. Please correct me if I am wrong!

E39 M5 is of my favorite cars of all time. A true contemporary classic.
I will have access to my clubs this weekend. I can photograph it for you.

OP. Exactly this...had same problem in F15 previous gen. Hand to remove driver. Too bad as it sounds like G05 didn't grow quite enough to accommodate the "driver ".

Because of covet, the bag storage at the club was closed. I place my powered cart on the drivers side. Then drop the rear single seat and put the clubs there. That worked well. Bag storage is open again.
I knew this was a problem compared to my Audi Q7 before I purchased the car, but everything else was a plus for me.

For the G06, I will need to lower the rear single seat to fit the stand bag when I have the electric cart. Even without the cart, I will need to have the stand bag placed diagonally unless the driver is removed.

Funny, I have exactly the same cart and I drop the passenger side rear seat to get my bag in.

My club is allowing storage again, so I don't have to do this anymore. I hate the grass clipping getting in the trunk when I was leaving. Never get it clean enough at the club.
