I've been trying to track this information down for months..... and even the local BMW dealership in Belgium can't figure it out. I have a US spec X5 with no rear foglights at all.

Can I get you to take a picture of your relay board? (right side of trunk, behind the removable panel)

If you have no working rear foglights..... then your guess is as good as mine.

If you have a left one working, and not the right..... you likely need to splice into the left wires, and run a wire to the right side. There "may" be a different relay for cars that have both working foglights.... but I'm not sure, because I can't get anyone to send me a picture of their relay board.
