It is worrying the way nothing for 3 months, and now with yearend around the corner, a lot cars are released and cleared, I was expecting a gradual release of cars after testing, I wonder if this is not another case of BMW clearing the lot before year end and dealing with faults if they occur after.
I hope your replacement will be up to standards, especially with Christmas period and holidays, the fix for oyur car may only be after the new year, so rightly so ask for similar or better car. Quote:

My car has no open recalls
"There are no open safety related recalls or technical enhancements on this vehicle."
I am picking up my car today at 4PM! What a day =D Hopefully, I will have no further issues with this one. |

After all it is a factory installed option so it should been taken care of before delivery? Or was I expecting too much? Anyway they did it. Maybe also to compensate for the delayed delivery last year. Two months delay, total delivery time 7 months. Compared what you all are experiencing it seems like nothing. Back than it was quite a big deal for me. |

I have tried to push today to get delivered before the weekend but its not looking likely.
They are under a lot of pressure to deliver cars before the end of the year with very limited staff. Even though I am a 'priority' with my 45e customer experience, I get the feeling when I am talking to them that everyone is a priority at the moment! My car has to be tested at the 'autokeuring' for tow bar, registration I hope is already under way and then they need to get the car prepared after sitting on a parking lot for 3 months! Nothing that can't be done fast! Delivery is set for next Tuesday 22nd worst case! |

I confirm that when I took delivery, the parking lot was full of hybrids waiting to be delivered... This on top of the other cars, it’s very busy for them.

lexieke The wait is nearly over! There is still some joy in knowing we didn’t beat the 13 months record of @heavyd :-)
btw, the car is great, I love the Merino, comfort seats with massage... I could sleep in them. The HK hifi is good but not incredible. The engine is definitely the right choice for me. I did 50% in electric so far which helps compensate for my usually heavy foot. |

I thought I was done with issues but look at what I discovered on the back middle seat... I couldn’t see it at delivery because it was covered but with the lights inside the car, it’s like a punch in your face. It seems like a greasy product leaked. I couldn’t get rid of it with water so now I’ll have to go back to the dealer. Aaahhh.
It seems it comes from before the tests since I had an old picture from 2/10 where you can barely see it already in day light... I didn't notice that day. But now... Were the QA guys at Spartanburg sleeping??? Last edited by AlexG05be; 12-17-2020 at 01:34 AM.. |

In the meantime I love the car more and more... I never imagined I would do over 50% in electric. I even noticed I start playing a game against myself to try to use electric more and adapt my driving style accordingly. |

By the way - to all of you getting a car tested. The first paper received to confirm tests were OK is a generic one. No mention of a chassis number to certify your car is clear. My dealer asked for individual documents that are linked to the cars to avoid any discussion in the future.
