They are a Ukranian based company and ship from Kiev. I’m gonna order one also.
But I can’t seem to find color samples on their website.

Try this:

https://keyfob-timotheus.com/product...-cover-bm-88-1

Some of the leather / thread combinations are not for the faint hearted...

I can't find any key fob covers on Amazon. Those timotheus are $80+, which is a lot (imo)!
Can you recommend any other please?

I bought 2 of these for my 24 X5. They fit perfectly and are a BMW part, not aftermarket.

Just chiming in on the fact that a higher quality key ring, many of which can be purchased from BMW Accessories, cannot fit inside of the fob ring is the Ultimate Fail™.

Seems like a basic requirement in designing a key fob.

Fortunately, Digital Key Plus has made the fob something that sits in my kitchen junk drawer rather than an item I use daily.

Exactly and that's why I bought the fob covers above. I can't believe they made them that way.

Bought this for €5 from AliExpress. Perfect fit, good quality. I got two, one black/smokey transparent and the other one just clear plastic.

I used to have a key fob protector for our BMW to which we attached a key ring. But after sometime it felt too bulky so removed the protector and bought a lanyard keyring (from Amazon.com)

I have this one on my spare key as the cover itself is a cumbersome. My main key has no keyrings.

Is there legitimately any reason the fob needs to be as large as it is? I can’t imagine so since my Apple Watch can provide the same proximity driven capabilities. Can’t imagine the button actuators require any real mechanical depth. I get there is a battery of course. But unless I’m mistaken, this fancy fob does nothing more than the very pocketable one I have for my 2011 X5? I’d welcome being corrected on that if I’m wrong.

I have to believe BMW makes thes big and bulky to bestow some sense of value — so that when you lose it and have to pay hundreds of dollars to replace it you don’t feel so ripped off.

But it’s annoying in particular that they have made it less user friendly with the silly little key ring (that doesn’t fit a key ring) connection point that leads to a long chain of messages like this about how to overcome that shortcoming of a simple key fob. Dumb.

I’m thankful that Digital Key is available. Otherwise I’d likely feel a little tinge of annoyance every time I grab that fob and put it in my jeans pocket.

Rant now complete. Thank you.

Where did you get this cover?

Any BMW dealer should have it in their part store.
I bought mine online from ecs tuning.

seems like it is always a backup plan to put extra door keys inside both cars.
Keys are small - I just drop them in my pocket. One key ring with house and shed key, one key ring with just a house key. Rings are helpful for finding and snagging the key in the bottom of the pocket - but that’s the easiest solution I found……
