I think it looks fantastic as do most of the m sport x5's. The regular model looks fine.

Rear has Mercedes all over it. (nothing wrong with that, just a bit unoriginal)
The front, as with most BMWs, looks awkward. Headlights are weird, they don't flow. It just looks like a bunch of shapes, hexagons etc thrown together. The grills are awkward icing on the awkward cake. BMW used to have a "finished" presence that flows. Their fronts continue to be awkward robot looking things not fitting of a premium upscale brand. Take a look at Audi front ends and how they flow. Or even BMW's own E39. When looking at the face of a car, your eyes shouldn't be pulled in all different directions. The interior is quite nice, though you can kind of see some of the front end on the dashboard. Overall, a nice car, but looks like another $10,000 used BMW. They need to inject some presence and class into their car design. Those big grills aren't classy. They don't work well with the twin kidneys. But BMW is kind of stuck as their twin kidney is their signature but today's cars need more air and have grills like Audi or Lexus. So BMW is stuck with the need for creating a large grill but also their kidney design. That's why supersizing them is not working.

That back end looks horrible and looks dated already.
Front end is a nicer X3. |

I keep checking back here, thinking BimmerPost would have officially revealed on the front page, but just the same "photos leaked" thread.
These "unofficial" pics and details point to more than just an online leak...what's taking so long BP???

The X5 is is designed to look prestigious, sometimes traditionally more attractive means getting lost in the crowd. BMW designs as of late have been excellent, with exception of the new 5, while inoffensive, it lacks pizzaz.

I hope they had put on the G01 that new interior and instrument display + real leather dashboard and black merino or nappa but hey they have to justify the higher price tag of the X5 |
