No galvanic option (silver buttons). I will have to wait like with 5 and 6 GT? come on BMW! WTF!
And the Grill is way too tall

But otherwise I love the car.

Overall I like it.

That oversized grille, though, geez... are they trying to prepare us so we're less shocked by the X7 release?

If these are "kidney grilles", those are some alcoholic kidneys.

I agree with the poster that the back end is rather generic, too.

Two questions -

Is that carbon fiber trim in the m-sport?

How will the driver assistance sensor function in the lower grill if you have US plates? Won't they block the sensor? Will they mount plates off center for 'Mericans?

The front looks great (the kidney grills seems too big I guess)..
The rear.... no comment..

Maybe the X5M will looks more agressive !

It's such a small touch but so important. I can't understand how BMW cheaped out on that with the 5er when Merc even puts them in the C-class.

With regard to the Driving Assistant Professional, I thought Traffic Jam Assistant was not allowed in US but maybe I have been living under a rock. Also, what is “steering assistant” and “automatic speed limit assistant” Does this restrict speed to the posted speed limit?

The "electric operated luggage compartment cover which can be stored in the trunk floor" sounds good - the cover for my 2016 X5 is sitting on a shelf in my garage collecting dust.

Is the “Integral Active Steering” the same as active steering that was available through 2016 on the X5?

Wonder what “specific off-road modes” means? (snow, ice, mud, sand?)

Why “Bespoke xDrive and gearbox” are these like special, special transmission and transfer case?

Bowers & Wilkins with 20 speakers and 1,500 watt output!...and I thought my Bang and Olufsen was sweet.

Wonder what the “Welcome Light Carpet” and “dynamic interior lighting” means

But the best of all is the cooled AND heated cupholder!

I read somewhere that they are expecting a range of 20 miles on the new 40e. Hardly seems better than 16.

How could you not mention the "Ambient Air thingy with 8 scents?"

The welcome light carpet is a projection from the side mirrors onto the ground and the dynamic interior lighting is special lighting in across the dash and doors that you can adjust to different colors. My 2016 X6 has that.

I love it wish taillights were more older generation than this new craze of rectangular taillights that seems to hit all car manufacturers.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

Love most everything about this. Think I like the XLine trim front better than the huge nostrils on the M-Sport. The grill bothers me less than those, but they'll probably not be noticeable on a dark color.

Still don't get that body line curve (why, why, why) but at least it's not as sharp as the renders, so there will be less shadow under it.

Very excited to have Integral Active Steering. I have Active Steering on my 2015 F15, and had it on two previous X5s. Makes a big vehicle feel small and nimble.

I also hope they follow suit with the G01 X3 interior, and do not put all that silver trim around the controls on the US models and make it an option elsewhere. It's pretty gaudy.

I like it. Does the off-road package come with different wheels and tires? Seems kind of silly to have an M Sport with 22” low profile tires with an off road package.

They launched the Audi Q8, an observation I am seeing is the other German makers are bringing it, new exterior and interior futuristic designs and more modern, BMW seem to have run out of ideas.

The grill is a bit large, but not obnoxious. I like the overall rear stance better than the current 5 but the taillights look a bit Jeep-ish to me. That interior night shot is sexxyyy

Those grills are pretty in your face, but when looking at different angles, I kind of feel like they are something that will grow on us.

Have to see them in person, but I think you'll just have to pay more attention to kidney griller color combos... I feel like black grilles will make them fit in much better depending on the color. (I hope). Either way, I think this is our next SUV!

When you say it like that, there is a bit of the Jeep feel - however, I think it looks way sleeker than a Jeep, and the rear lights were my least favorite part of the F15 - different strokes, but I'm really digging the design! I think it will look better in person with the 3D rear lights.
