Stealth hitch the only option

Didn't realize BMW didn't offer the OEM hitch on the F95. Since I use a bike rack, is the stealth the only/good option?

I actually had it installed on our Volvo XC90 and it worked great, but not really looking forward to ripping out the rear bumper on my new car.

When you write stealth you mean the same as in Europe (one that can be hidden)? In my case, the standard European hitch works great with a bike carrier .

Not sure what you have in Europe, but in US, Stealth hitch refers to a specific brand. And yes it can be hidden.

It is.

Just let me know if you want to get it done.
Drop the car off in the morning and pick it up without knowing that it has been installed.

I've installed quite a few on F95 X5M / F96 X6M or even regular G05 X5.

Really tempted, but i'm in NorCal, but maybe I can sneak in a weekend trip over! Do I just order the hitch and bring it with me or can I order one and have it sent to your shop?

A lot of my North Cal and my out of state customers do that.

I am a StealthHitch dealer too. So, you have another option in purchasing it.

There's a cover that needs cut. I wish I hadn't had that cover cut and just dealt with the slight hassle of taking it off when using the hitch. In short, It's not completely hidden from a distance or at lower levels. The cut exposes some heat shielding, which is shiny silver.

R33 will know what I'm talking about and will be able to address it. The hitch is a great, if not the best, option. I also have it on a GLS and it is totally hidden on that SUV.

You can buy that cover from BMW.
I haven't tried it, but, maybe you can replace the screws that holding it to quick release twist lock?

I've been thinking about replacing that cover. I'm guessing it's relatively inexpensive. It just bugs me to see the heat shield on a blacked out MBB X5M.

That may be the cheapest part on the car! Can you share the part number?
