741Ms fit in trunk?

Hi guys,

I have my 20" square winter setup ready to go and planning on install date here in Canada.

I have always swapped my own wheels (prior to X5), but I'm leaning to taking the X5 to the dealer for swap now.
My previous cars I just used the stock OEM jack. I never had a proper jack or setup (running out of garage *******.

Summer setup is 741Ms. My question is, will these 741Ms fit in the X5 with the rear seats folded? I'm trying to weigh the hassle of loading/unloading the tires vs doing it myself.
They are massive wheels...

Thanks,

Mike

Easy if you put all of the second row down, doable with 60% down….

You might try acquiring a compact bottle hydraulic jack for doing tire changeouts. The jacking lift points should be easily acessible and compatible, although you might want to fashion an adapter to ensure the jack seats firmly into the jacking point. A bottle jack stores easier than a trolley floor jack.

Here's a clever device -- bottle jack and jack stand combined.

this won't fit under the G05. You will need a floor jack to jack up the car first then use bottle jack.

There is a reason why bottle jack isn't commonly use for car. Because the amount of lift bottle jack provide vs the profile of the jack doesn't make sense

They will fit but it will be tight, make sure the rear seats are folded down of course. You may want to cover certain areas of your car where the tire tread comes in contact to help prevent getting dirt and smudges on the interior leather (or sensafin) in your X5. If you have a floor jack like others mentioned, just do it yourself.

Fold Rear Seats.
2 Tires go do flat - on one side (left or right)
On the opposite side, the other 2 wheel assemblies go in and sit/lean on a tilt on the flat tire.

Basically all 4 tires are pretty secure that hard braking, etc, none will roll forward or back.

If you have a movers blanket, you could lay one down flat, before you put the tires in, and another movers blanket, if you have tint on the rear window, just to mitigate any potential oopsies.

There also an option to buy tire covers - BMW has a nice set for about $100 more than these Michelin logo ones from Amazon. I can’t tell a quality difference between them. https://www.amazon.com/MICHELIN-Blac.../dp/B00IQILFF2

Depends on the bottle jack. The one I bought does provide enough lift for my 50e. The top piston has a screw adjustment - works perfect and doesnt eat up mich space.
