Arctic Grey in Real Life

I know a few people are wondering about this color and how it looks.

Here are two pics showing it in shadow and sunlight from the day I picked it up.

Looks sharp. I am Not really seeing the blue or green tint that has been mentioned by some people.

This area here doesn't look blue to you? The rest of the car looks a little purpleish to me. These metallic paints are very dynamic. Looks like a completely different color where the sunlight is hitting the car.

Its very subtle. You can only see it in real life either under showroom lighting or direct sunlight.

Grey is one of the best colors; dirt is not as visible, and hides scratches fairly well too.

I like Arctic Grey but couldn't find an interior I liked with it other than Ivory White. I have this now in our 5 series and wanted something different.

Some pictures of my Arctic Gray. Coffee interior works well. It’s a color that is similar to carbon black in that it has chameleon-like ability to shift subtly.

Have been going back and forth between carbon black and arctic gray for my order. Had carbon black on my 650i GC and liked it a lot. Attended the Toronto Auto Show today and they had 2 X7s side by side with these two colors. The AG definitively had some of the varying tones folks have already described, but I actually liked it quite a bit in person. Everyone has their own preference, but I think I’m sold on AG.

This is one of the combinations I'm considering. I think the black, white and greys will go well with any interior combination. Grey on brown is a very good look.

Here are a couple pics of the two X7s from same general vantage from the car show. Lighting shows some of the color variation.

Arctic grey

I see blue under lights at night and a lilac in direct sun.

Arctic grey looks great when everything else is black (getting my grill done soon) but IMO clashes with the chrome. Each to their own but as has been said, it is not simply a dark grey and needs to be seen in person before being bought (I didn't and may regret it - TBC!)
