Black or Coffee.. on the fence

Hi All...

I have until end of next week to make any changes to my order before it goes into production. Right now I have coffee interior selected, but worried it will look too dark brown and funny with the back dash. I've seen the high res pics someone posted and looks awesome there, but then I go and look at the dealer samples and they look really dark.

I have black in my e70 but was wanting a change, but not if will look off.

Anyone have coffee and wish they had black, or someone with black wish they had coffee?

Coffee is actually a lot lighter than I thought it would be.
All black Looks too harsh (for me)

I took black for M sport - MAH9, but only because of my wife

- personally i would go with coffee.

I had my order changed from coffee merino to black.
Because I love the trim ash grain silver grey and it just suits the black more then coffee brown imo. Not to many colors inside and a Nice contrast with the light trim

I have Coffee Vernasca with the fineline trim and with standard black (non-leather) dash and black alcantara headliner. To me it looks awesome. It is darker than tartufu (which looks too orange for me) but not chocolate dark. I think it would look good with piano. I'll post a picture of the inside if you can't find a picture on here somewhere.

Thanks for your comment. Plan is to do the matte trim. I've seen this pic under this thread https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1553714 and love it! But looks so much darker on the dealer sample. Wish they had one with it to see.

I'll probably keep the coffee.

Coming out of F15 Mocha. Went coffee, will know in a few weeks . Black is too boring.

Coffee is not dark at all. It's a lot lighter than the mocha on the F15. We looked at black and coffee for the interior. The coffee gives a nice contrast on the interior which allows you to see all the contours and shapes of the interior. When everything is black, to us it looks very plain. Coffee is like a milk chocolate color. The high res pics I posted are spot on with the color and shade. That's exactly what it looks like in person.

I went for all black.

I didn't like the coffee to black leather on shift console and on the doors. I think they did the white and black right having the same color throughout.

If coffee was like that I would of went with that.

Just my opinion. As long as you like it, it's the right choice.

"Tartufo" I switched from Coffee last minute after I seen both at the dealer back to back. Tartufo looks amazing in person.

I had Mocha in my F15 and loved that color and thought I'd want the coffee this time. In my old car though, it included a light colored headliner, which frankly I prefer. Since one can no longer choose a light headliner (at least in an msport) I chose to go with Tartufo as it is lighter and felt that the lighter color seats would help make up for the dark headliner. Ivory seats would be the ultimate in lightness but decided they were too precious looking.

But you can get merino without the dark headliner if you don’t go for Msport, correct?
