BMW screwed up somehow. Lengthened the car and the legroom is pathetic? This is where a pretty face is more important than functionality.

We got a great deal since you mentioned it.
Sorry you think the G05 legroom is pathetic. Maybe the MDX would be a better choice. My daughter has an MDX and loves it.

I chose the G05 and I am really happy with my choice. It's plenty big for me and how I plan to use the vehicle. That's all that matters to me.

Take care. I hope you can enjoy the G05 for what it is. Overall, it looks like its going to be a great car.

I am 6’2” and have plenty of room in the back seat but I didn’t buy the X5 for a people hauler. My kids are 9yr and 11yr. They think they are in a limousine in the back seat with my front seat properly adjusted to my 6’2” body and that’s all that matters to me. Germans don’t build people haulers like a Chevy Suburban.

Here's the chart.
Well there you go...more room in back than the F15. So maybe all this back seat leg room whining can end.

Back to WrinkleGate!

I think I found the missing space. It's just a theory mind you but could it be that the reason the space in the G05 is "pathetic" and "lame" is simply the fact that the guys with the measuring tapes measured from the top of the wrinkles instead of the bottom?

that means BMW is making legroom across their lineup standardized and only differentiating with cargo capacity, luxury options and engines which isn't a bad thing

I think it must be from research or they are the only German luxury brand doing this. Would not buy a GLE because it has more rear legroom, customers must be shopping with trunk size in mind!

Go for it, get what works best for you. I have 0 children and don't care for the X7 other than it's beautiful ivory/night blue interior option. The X5 50i which I'll have this month finally is much faster, will handle better etc for my needs with the same level of luxury. I'm glad the X7 works for you, I'd get one if I had children but thankfully I don't.

Hahaha the only thing that that will dissuade me if it drives like crap!

Great X5 forum for there is not much action in the X7 one given the cars are basically the same base.

Think that acoustic glass option will reduce my annoying whining?

My wife now has less space to slam the floor with her heels every time I screech up to a rear bumper.

Being probably the tallest person on the forum, I can confirm the front seats of the G05 are smaller than the F15. Legroom is down and seat bolstering is tighter. Really found it odd since German cars historically have been awesome for tall people.

That sad, I am the exception. Longer inseam guys will find the G05 smaller than the G05, most people will be fine. The Q7 does have more legroom and more comfortable seats for tall people but of course it is a different vehicle.

I need to try the Cayenne to see how it is. Last generation was OK except for the weird key placement and the tall center console hand bar thing.

I find the x5 to be fine front and rear. It's ole ty roomy in my opinion and cargo space is also great. I also only have one child and she's 9 months old so maybe I don't care as much?

Curious how tall you are. Cayenne has acres of space was pleasantly surprised.

Coming from a 2013 Lexus RX350 was curious about the new one. What's striking is how much legroom the 2019 Lexus RX350 has and it's shorter than the G05 by 1.8".

Front - 44
Rear - 38
Combined a whopping 82", 5" more than the X5.

I'd stick with Lexus in a heartbeat if it wasn't so damn ugly.
