Wonder Woman!
I thought I had started a thread about this, but couldn't locate it...
Anywho... Watched it this weekend in Digital XD at Cinemark (best theater chain IMHO) and it was fantastic! I was curious what direction DC would take this film and would they water it down explaining her origins. But the story line was good and introduced her character without drawing it out. The action was great and Gal... Oh Gal... She is soooo Gorgeous! Initially she was not pegged for this role but glad someone at the studio realized her presence and ability are perfect for this iconic character. Reviews are stellar: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/wonder_woman_2017/ The film has the 4th highest solo superhero US opening ever, but the Highest worldwide opening ever for a solo superhero film! And the highest opening gross for a female Director ever!

Hollywood finally figure out how to make a movie that did not required men or women to be drag to it to appease the other. This is why this move did so well. Something for the guys, a pretty superhero woman and for Ladies and their little girls a role model woman superhero and the woman who directed.

I watched the movie twice in the theater... 2nd time not by my choice - other friends wanted to see it.
Great movie! Definitely one of the best superhero movies to come out in a long time. I think with all the movies coming out, people forget about actual movie making. Concepts such as pacing, cinematography and making people actually care about the characters. The character development and emotional investment came first in this movie and the formula works! Instead of random throwaway background characters, tragically flawed heroes and non-stop action - they concentrated on characters you actually care about and a good story. I think the best complement I can give is that you can make this movie without superheroes and it'd still be a great movie. The one big flaw is the ending... the last battle was pure Zach Snyder. Tons of bad CGI, the big battle is Zach's characteristic style and totally out of place. Like BvS, the final battle is the one you care the least about. The best fight scenes were the one on the beach and when Wonder Woman is kicking German ass in the buildings. I hope Zach loosens his grip on the DC movies and they can finally make good movies without depressing brooding characters and big CGI fake looking battles.

Best D.C. character based movie ever - male or female lead.
Thought it was smart to introduce her in the B v. S movie, then transition her to a solo film. She is simply stunning to watch and athletic enough to play the part.
