Front plate options/ideas for an X5M Comp

I finally got my plates for my X5MC.

What have folks done to mount the front plate? Seems like a real pity to drill holes in the front bumper.

Thanks!

Don't install or use tow hook plate mount.

I think most police won't bother stopping you without a front plate BUT I was stopped and given a verbal warning in CT for not having a plate. It really was in the trunk of my Porsche! The officer didn't want to see it but wanted me to know he could have written me up. I don't want to give police an excuse to pull me over so I always have my front plate mounted now (with a tow hook mount)

I came across this awhile ago: Skene Brackets

You still have to drill into the bumper, but it's from the bottom so you don't see it. Not a perfect solution, but seems like a good compromise.

Also just to clarify, no idea if this will work on an M-sport, and haven't used the product myself.

Seems to me that you need to be aware of sensor locations so that the plate wouldn't block them

I have a corvette in NJ and refused to mount a front plate since I got it in 2013 (ole rebel here!). Have a 2022 X5 M50i on order for PCD and will NOT put front plate on. In Monmouth county here.

Best part of PCD is they won't mount the front license plate bracket. They hid my front license plate bracket with the spare under the rear cargo cover.

I think it depends when and your luck too. Sometimes they just look for a reason to give you tickets for revenue. I got pulled over once with my wife on one of her bad days It wasn't fun because she had asked me to put it on before. I had to mount, take a picture and go to court to show them. After that I started mounting front plates. For me either no plate or plate. I don't have a feel for off site plate. With this one, I'm trying my luck gain. I leave the plate in the trunk in case. I'm not sure if that would fly if I get pulled over.
