Thanks, I didn't have multi contour in the GLE so hopefully the extra adjustment will make the difference.

I was told that Vernesca seat has leather on seating surface (seat botton and back), but bolsters are leatherette or Sensatec. Door panel is also Sensatec. When upgrade to Merino, the actual benefit is extended leather. So bolster and door panels become leather. Of course I don't have the car so I cannot confirm, I ordered Vernesca myself too.

Many years ago, BWM leather option is actually always "extended". I have E46 and E87, both have full leather seat and door panel. However, E46 being 18 years old, the driver seat leather is cracked at the bottom surface and left side bolster (where most contacted). I almost want to see Sensatec/Leatherette will last much longer on the hire wear area.

As for Multi-court option, they were not such an option in E46 or E87. But I have to BWM sport seats suited me very well, espeically the E87 one is so good, I cannot imagine seat can get any better. I guess I will wait to find out

I believe the extended Merino is still an additional option on top of picking the Merino Leather seats. Judging by the amount of times I have seen folks complaining about the Leather dash as well, not sure I would have taken it either way.

Don’t ever remember seeing a complaint regarding the leather dash on the G05. Perhaps previous generations had problems and they were fixed.

They don't list 5AP in the pricing guides from what I have seen.

Bit disappointing that DAP is not available in 2023 till 12/22. Is DAP worth to wait or can we go with the standard active driving assistant?
I have recently gone through a process of evaluating MY23 and MY22 and can speak of the DAP. In order to get DAP you need to get the Exec package in MY23 and if you get the Exec package you need to get the Merino leather. So the $1700 DAP ends up costing $3150+$2450+$1700 = $7300. I know pricing guide states you only need premium pack but dealers cannot do it, they have to add Exec pack. Comparison in build attached.

For MY22 you could still get it with premium pack only - so I went with the MY22 (I had the option). There was a $4500 difference between MY23 and MY22 if you want the DAP.

Now, MY23 is actually about the same cost if you do not want the DAP and Merino (we tried on dealer system) but want the M-sport. This is due to M-sport pack being $1500 cheaper. If I didn't want the DAP I would get the MY23 since future trade value would be higher.

What’s the consensus on sensafin upholstery? I would like to get coffee or cognac but I’m worried that non- black color may look off with the faux leather.

I noticed Remote Engine Start is omitted for the 45e. Is that not application for the PHEV, or is it a Standard feature?

45e's have never had Remote Eng. Start... They do a thing called "Preconditioning" which is all electric.

I noticed that today also when i was at dealer and got the pricing sheet. I don't understand why it is in the Exec Package for the 40ibut not the 45e ):
Dealer mentioned something about it I thought as an option (even by mobile) but I will have to follow up.

Because there is no need to remote start a PHEV when you can precondition the vehicle prior to entry using the HV battery.

preconditioning is to raise the temperature of your battery to prior to charging. And yes you cool the vehicle remotely. Not sure about heat because I haven't had a need for that but I would think so.

This is an old post, and currently we are seeing DAP available. Is that the one people were waiting? Or is there some upgrade coming on 12/22? Thanks.

DAP became available before the MY started.

Yes, there is only one DAP. In the initial pricing/ordering guide is was not scheduled to be available until 12/22 but that was changed in the next guide.

I have a 2021 45e. Precondition does everything you would expect remote start to do. It will heat/cool the car to your climate control settings and will kick on the driver’s seat heater and steering wheel heater (if the temps warrant). You can even set it to automatically precondition the car at a certain time for an upcoming drive.
