Seeing if anyone else has tracked a week 48 build…since some look like they were moved to 49 recently.

I think people keep creating other threads for October allocations because your title was a little confusing. The title suggests it's only for week 46, which is the first week of November. Many of us were scheduled later in November, hence all the other threads popping up

Merino could be an issue based on the suspension of new orders with it.

could be, I wouldn't rule it out as being a hold up. But if you read the 43/44/45 threads, a few people w/ Merino are going thru, but most are sensafin though.

You have to keep in mind, just because something is causing a hold up in some builds that does not mean it will cause every build to hold. That is why it is basically a waste of time, or can drive you crazy, trying to figure out why builds are being moved back and worth. It is an algorithm based on future supply.

It even gets worse when something happens to parts that are allocated to vehicles in 150 since vehicles can be held for a long time while others are being built. That is what we saw in the Spring when all of a sudden touchscreens weren't available for a period of time, those vehicles sat in QC for a month or so while the builds after them were completed and shipped.

hahaha TurtleBoy too late, I'm already crazy. You'll be happy to know I went to talk to the order manager today and switch my tires, and he convinced me to stick it out with my build. But you can understand, right now I just need one more week earlier to give me a fighting chance. However I may still take a courtesy delivery... still working that.

40 days in 112 drove me crazy. (Now in 150, wk44 production) I was speculating 2 options were holding me back: Merino and 21" wheels.

I did changed from 21" to 20" 740M not because I lost my patience but after taking the comments from folks here that the tires for 21" wheels are hard to find and could be an issue for me if I have a blown tire.

But thinking about it, the factory could be experiencing scarcity on tires for 21" wheels.

Just called and the agent wasn't sure what happened (not shocking) and said I'm now week 01. Contacted my SA, as I need to understand the impact as I'm leasing and though I know the tax credit clearly doesn't apply to purchases, not sure what impact it will have on the lease residual calculations since they don't actually credit you for the amount.

The tax credit has no effect on the leasing numbers. As long as you had your credit app run you have a no harm lock on the MF and RV. I think the lock is still 120 days.

I got the same genius response this morning and she admitted she's seen several orders get moved to Jan 1 and isn't sure why.

Considering my order was placed in September along with my credit app, the 120 days ends in early January (I'm most likely not alone in this either).

As for the Residual or MF, though the credit shouldn't impact it, it really is an unknown as the BMW and the financial arm, based those numbers on an assumption of the credit they hold (since they technically don't give it back to customers). I think it's a bit premature to assume what's going to happen in January to either.

Your credit does not impact the RV or MF, those are standard although the dealer can mark up the MF a max of .00040.

Obviously the MF and RV can change all of the time and it often does for various reasons. Basically no one has been leasing the 45e anyways, financially very hard to justify doing so, but the RV was the same as the other models. That should change starting in January.

It's not my credit though…I don't think you are following and my SA confirmed my thoughts.

They confirmed I'm still good on a lock and should meet the cut off; but did say that they expect the MF to increase significantly assuming the rules play out as they are because BMW/BMW Financial will no longer be able to take the credit themselves (even though they don't pass it on right now) which they use in their MF and RV calcs. This is based on the info they are getting from their internal BMW teams.

I'm certainly following what you are saying but I'm discounting what your SA is telling you. Just the fact that he is saying they use it in the MF calcs you know he is making things up. The MF is not set by trim. It may go up but it would have nothing to do with the tax credit going away.
