Thank you!

They had allocation and I got in. Sorry, could not stop myself from
Congratulations.
Time will fly by quickly. Also BMW will speed up your production date from original estimate. I have seen that happening with a couple of people including me.
In the meanwhile this forum helps a lot to stay sane.

Here is the deal I got on 2020 X5 Xdrive 40I. The dealer gave me 10.75% discount which includes $750 conquest but not $2000 from BMW as I am financing through USAA. Additionally, I can use $2000 from USAA. In the end I m getting about a 13.5% discount including USAA. Seems like a great deal but now thinking I could do better. Also the trade is definitely on the high end and I was insistent on getting 34500. This is also a car that has to be ordered. Here is the worksheet.

Is a $1000 doc fee reasonable in FL? I think I paid $395 or $495 in MA.

Florida hits you with everything on a new car. Most dealer fees here range from 600-1000.

The other thing is if you buy an extended warranty the pricing is regulated by the State so you cannot negotiate the warranty prices. This is why I always buy my extended warranties out of state directly through manufacturer.

I asked for the worksheet they showed me to take with me, they refused. Finally I got it. When I did the math in leisure, all they did was cap cost reduction using down payment (2250) part of 5000 down payment they asked me, after 5.8% discount. Not sure if I am allowed to post that worksheet or not. It is a joke.

Back to square one.

p.s: Oh! by the way, MF was .00182 !!!!!!

Thank you all.
Look at the level of cheating that went here. Bottom right is 5000 drive off + their rebate 2250. Number magic going on at the top. Numbers disappeared from cap cost reduction.

And they're only offering 7.5% off MSRP? Wow. Your payment should actually be $840/month with these numbers.

Yup, that was my first build I walked away from. Thanks to wtwo3. Second dealer was clean and they came forth saying our best MF is .00182. With fee being higher monthly is 896. Now I am going for finance. Locked in with BOFA for better APR. 2000 of APR credit is confirmed with outside finance.

Just when I thought I was getting a great deal that may not be the case. They have my discount calculated at 10.75% plus $2000 from USAA. Now I find out that I qualify for at least another $2000 rebate from BMW. Financing through USAA which means a cash deal for BMW. The car is ordered but I haven't paid a deposit and now I am thinking I should tell the dealer to add the $2000 rebate or it is a no go for me. Essentially what they have done is to include the rebate into discount which is so typical so the dealer can inflate the discount. In the end I figured the actual discount is 8%. Going for the additional $2000.

Are you sure about that? In the past you could only get one $2k rebate, either from USAA for not financing with BMW or from BMW and then either $250 or $500 (as military incentive) for financing with BMW. The bottom of the certificate from USAA will have the details.

Here is the verbiage from USAA.

Incentives for eligible 2019 and 2020 models.
-$500 Incentive for Lease and Retail Loan financed through BMW Financial Services. Exception: BMW FS Lease not available for i3.
-Incentive available for eligible new vehicles as well as the first consumer sale of demonstrators/loaner vehicles up to 4999 miles.
Incentives are combinable with eligible new car sales programs* Exception i3 Cash/FS Retail Loan not combinable.
*i3 USAA Cash and BMW FS Retail Loan $11,000. Not combinable with monthly sales programs. Not eligible for BMW FS lease.

Special BMW Incentive offer is valid at any authorized BMW Center in the United States. Cash incentives are not applicable for vehicles leased/financed through BMW Financial Services. Member must take retail delivery January 6, 2020 - January 4, 2021. Incentive offer is subject to change without prior notice. This incentive offer is available to USAA members. BMW incentives are only available to persons eligible for membership in USAA's Property and Casualty Insurance Group. P&C membership is generally available to current and former members of the U.S. Military and their former dependents. One incentive per member, per offer code, per calendar year for new BMW vehicles. Eligible member must be the purchaser. See your authorized BMW Center for complete program details.

There is nothing here that states this can't be combined with BMW X5 rebate. In fact it states incentives are combinable with eligible new car sales programs.

I was going to to post the same thing to show you weren't eligible for both. LOL The only $2k offer from BMW is when you finance with them, where are you seeing the $2k not tied to that?

Here are the current incentives:

This is from autobytel. While they don't have the description for the sDrive correctly I believe the incentives are the same.

Are you guys calculating % off MSRP before or after incentives? I'm looking to order an Arctic Gray sDrive40i with basically just M-sport and the 21" wheels since I haven't found anyone with that limited spec in stock, MSRP is ~67.2K (with $995 for delivery). Worked the deal down to 60.5k after loyalty and FS incentives which is almost right at 10%, maybe could squeeze them for another 500-1k but just wanted to see what you guys thought.

^ Discounts are usually calculated and posted here before incentives, If you are already at 10% you did well but of course it wouldn’t hurt to try for a little bit more.

With SoCal dealers you should be able to get 9-10% off BEFORE incentives easily. You're just under 10% INCLUDING incentives, so I think you have much more room. What is the total of your incentives? If you provide us that, we can work backwards and tell you how much more room you likely have to go on the pre-incentive discount.

Wasn't on my laptop before and missed that you included the incentives in your discount calculation. Given that, ignore my comment of doing well. Assuming your loyalty and FS incentives are $1,250 and $2,000 respectively, you are only getting a dealer discount of approximately 3,450 or a little over 5%. It seems like you should be getting close to double that so try for another 3,500 off and see how things go since 10% off would get you to $60.5k before incentives.

I'm actually in Texas, need to update that location status! Thanks for the tips though. Heading to another dealer tomorrow that I've bought from previously and will work on ~10% pre-incentive, which should be the $3250 ($2000+$1250) you alluded to. I've seen conflicting information on the $2000 APR credit and whether you get it with outside finance or not, any clarity on this?

Will keep you guys updated! If anyone else in Texas wants to do a package deal let me know!

Posted a few pages prior, I just closed on 8% before incentives on a custom order in DFW. Was quoted 9% before incentives from a dealer in San Antonio and didn't want to fly down/drive back for 1% so I went with the dealer in Grapevine. So don't settle for less than those. DM me if you want specifics.

I just ordered a custom build X5 m50 in the NYC area, 10% off MSRP before applicable incentives (currently loyalty+lease is $2750). I inquired 4 dealerships and was offered 5.5%, 8%, 9% and finally 10%. I didn't haggle just asked best they could do and I signed with the best offer since they hit my bogey. Since this was my first time using this dealer I went to check out all the details since I'm likely leasing, and it was very straightforward. No fees, base MF, etc. I'm just debating now whether to just purchase the car since I only drive 6k/yr and my current f15 is still going without a single issue, but I'm guessing after the warranty is up is when all the issues start appearing.

Okay, it may be a little tougher to achieve 10% in Texas from what we have seen.

The $2k APR credit is only available if you finance with BMW. The exception to that would be if you are a member of USAA or PenFed since the military incentive is $2k if you don't finance with BMW.
