Probably not. But it looks like the car is ready for delivery in the showroom. I don't think I would appreciate my license plate being published. But maybe that's me. On the other hand nice that so many people are appreciating his choice even before he got delivery of his car.

GDPR and the right of privacy. You can publish your own plates and info if you decide to do that and that's fine. But it's personal info. Google street View blurs the plates too.

In Belgium you keep your license plate when you change cars. So it is personal. By sharing this info you are publishing personal data. And it is not parked on the street but in the showroom just ready for delivery. GDPR is vague indeed. But it just doesn't feel right to me to publish a picture of a car that is not yours without blinding the plate.

The guy did a special repaint instead of a wrapping to have a special car so maybe he won't mind being seen 😜(grapje beefcake I believe you, why would he ly about this)

My wife has pics of her car with plate showing on her instagram business page (realtor) often. Not a big deal, she's not after privacy there.

For someone concerned about it though (ie concerned about some nut job stalking a woman, their wife/gf etc) with a reverse picture search someone showed on another forum how easy it is to find someone with their plate if they've a picture on Instagram, Facebook etc showing it. When you searched a photo of their car from Craigslist, their fb and insta came up (because they had pictures on both with their plate showing) and neither of their accounts were private, with a quick scroll you could find out where they worked, area they lived in, name etc etc. it was quite surprising how easy it was.

👍 My comment wasn't meant to be "chastising" you like others have, just info for husbands/wives/daughters or anyone who IS concerned about being careful with their personal privacy. (And if you've a fancy/flashy/special paint job, that person probably isn't, and will have their pic, with plate, taken and shared often on the internet)

Again, thanks for sharing, I really don't care that the plate was on there.
