Picked up my card this week and lucked out and received the leather credit of $1450 which was a nice surprise for a week 49 build it was not expected to receive it.

So here is the final numbers on my deal for others if it is helpful.

MSRP 74595 including destination
Dealer Discount (~7%) 5100
Loyalty Credit 1000
Leather Credit 1450
Gesture Credit 190
BMWCCA 1000

Total discounts and savings $8740 or ~11.5% all in.

Locked in the rate today and here is my final deal:

X5 40i off-road package fully loaded
MSRP: $79,930
Dealer discount: $4030
Financial Rebate: $2000
Trade in (my first car from school with 153k miles): $3050
taxes and fees: $980
Final financed price at 2.89%: $71,389
(I haven't added the BMWCCA rebate of 1000 to the equation since it is separate)
its a good deal. not the best deal, but the entire process was smooth. all email communications. no security deposit asked. and the dealership is in my neighborhood.

I ordered my car at the same time - Dec 14th. No dice for us.
Correct, bought off lot with November 12 production date. When I was test driving the week before it was being unloaded from the truck. I had gone to the dealer to pick up a 2018 year end clearance. The rep said I should at least try the 2019. To be honest I did not think there would be much difference and I wanted to big end of year discount on the 2918. I was wrong, the 2019 is a completely different car from the 2018. The 2019 one he had me test driven had almost every option which also hooked me on a more fully optioned 2019. I'm realistic though since I know I would never have been able to get my 2019 unless the dealer made money on the deal. I'm fine with a profit since they have to keep the lights on and I would have a BMW dealer stay open near me then have to drive further.

It appears that we are all getting similar discounts at this point. A friend was on the waiting list in Dallas and got one of the very first ones and had no negotiating room from MSRP. In about 3-6 months who knows folks on the forum will likely be posting higher discounts.

Good God man, did you hold a gun to their head? For a 2019 this dealership sure must be desperate for a sale.

Congrats!

Bought 5 cars from a competitor and they are building a new facility and have some aggressive targets, so basically they bought a customer (and they are much more convenient to my house and I service there anyway), so win win for me - and got lucky on the leather credit and people here posted they got it, so pointed it out - not sure what would have happened if I didn't know to look for it.

Yes, 15k miles/year, 3 year lease 45k total miles, $914/month with $1000 down + title, license doc fees (tax is included in each lease payment - here in MA you just pay tax on each payment amount, not total price). I also moved over my 7 security deposits from the last car, so money factor is 0.00147 instead of 0.00182. No additional stuff was added like service or wheel insurance etc.

I don't they gave me some giant list of up-sell stuff and I declined it all, didn't actually see most of the prices, they just totaled it and showed how much more the payment would be each month for all the add ons in groups.

Lease rates

I thought I was getting some good numbers, but reviewing this thread I'm not too sure now!

2019 x5, MSRP 69K
$1500 down (everything included in that, taxes, fees, 1st payment etc.)
$850 a month
36mth/10K miles

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

First timer here. Thanks for all the information here, it is super helpful.
I have been working with my local SA on a X5 40i on the lot and the price he came back was 3% of MSRP, he doesnt seem to budge. I was hoping they would provide a better deal since it is almost end of the year and they might want to do something. He also has a couple of loaner cars which are like less than 500 miles and seems to have the same price which doesn't make any sense to me.

Are there any agents or dealership who might do the 6% off MSRP in the Oklahoma or Texas areas?

Thanks for your help!!

You should be able to get at least 6-7% off MSRP especially if the car is on the lot.

The new San Antonio BMW, one of the biggest in the U.S., offered this on a car that's in inventory, which I don't want, only test drove it to see if we like it. Don't like the cramped rear leg room and few other things about the X5. However, I've got a build quote into the Sales Director. Will hear something today. Am asking for 93% of MSRP on a custom build order. BTW, Jan. 2 is your last day to deal. If they don't budge I'd wait for the new 2020 Mercedes Benz GLE or take a good look at the Acura MDX. It's highly refined and a much better value than the X5 IMO.

MSRP - $67,120
Discount - 4,220
Rebate - 2,000
Window tint "pack" - 499

And a very generous, realistic trade offer on my 2013 Lexus RX350 that's in great condition - $19,000. They bumped that offer up an initial offer of 16,000 last week. Helps keep my sales tax cost down.

Good luck!

Just closed a deal on a new build

Happy New Year!!

This will be my first SU/AV, I've always been a sedan, coupe, or wagon owner, but I needed something to tow a track car. I cross shopped the Q7, Q8, Velar, and Jaguar F-pace, and found the X5 to have the best combination of tech, luxury, and price. Hopefully, I'll like driving it, even though it's not technically a "driver's car".

A couple things I wish it would let you order.
  • ///M sport seats with massage
  • DHP
  • Carbon fiber trim
  • 21" Y-spoke orbit grey wheels

40i XDrive

DESIGN
M Sport Design $5,850

Arctic Grey Metallic $550

WHEELS
20" M Star-spoke bi-color wheels, style 740M with all-season run-flat tires

PACKAGES + OPTIONS

Gesture Control $190 (because you can't configure without it)
Heated Front Seats Armrests & Steering Wheel $250
Comfort handling package $1300
Remote Engine Start $300
Trailer Hitch - 7200 lb Towing Limit $550

Welcome. Nice build and good price. The standard brakes are great. but given your desire for a driver's car, I'm surprised you didn't opt for the M-Sport brakes.

Also, while the 40i does not have a DHP option, you are getting adaptive suspension.

Show us photos when you get the car. Congratulations.

Thanks. I almost opted for the brakes but thought they would be overkill on the 40i. I came to terms with the fact that this will be a comfort vehicle that is reasonably quick and sporty. I would've skipped the M sport design if it didn't cost as near as much to get leather, 20" wheels, and comfort access.

I've got m-sport brakes on my F30 and this experience led me to order the standard brakes on the G05. Others have different experiences, but I found the m-sport brakes, at least on the F30 to be overly grabby, very noisy, and they create a lot of dust. After much runaround with BMW, they agreed to change my brake pads and its much better now. But, I didn't want to take a chance on the G05 having to go through that again.

I don't plan to be tracking my G05 so I think I'll be alright

Let us know when you get your new ride.

I've done this twice now and its worked perfectly both times.

On my recently ordered X5, I thought 6% off MSRP plus 3k in incentives (plus another 1k from BMW CCA) was a good deal on a brand new model so thats what I asked for and they agreed. After reading the latest posts, I think I left 1% on the table. The 9.7% off MSRP that one poster claimed is not verified.

Best of luck.
I like this approach sygazelle. But for those who aren't as well informed, who/what is the CA that you refer to?
