MSRP - $66,395
Discount - $9,654
Rebate - $1,250
Doc Fee - $599
Tax - $268.26
Title - $136.75
Business Tax - $194.96
Acquisition Fee - $925

Term - 36months/10k miles

Cash down - Fees + first month's payment - $2,259
Balance - $55,355.97

Monthly - $734 (kinda high?)
Without seeing the numbers, the drive off seems low. If I put that discount with the rest of the numbers you've given I get a $648 monthly with a $2700 driveoff.

I suspect they are rolling the acquisition into the monthly by bumping the MF and then adding a few points to the MF to make some money on the deal.

That's why - Base MF is .00128. Are they also adding the acquisition fee into your monthly? If so that's putting your effective MF at .00218 - 5.23%

You're at 11% which looks pretty good. Other then considering MSD's if you haven't there probably isn't much more fat to squeeze.

Yes, the 50i has $3K APR instead of $2K on the 40i.

For a 2020 BMW X5 xDrive40i with MSRP of $75,670 that is on a dealer lot-- is monthly lease of around $650 with 5k Due at signing doable? Or am I reaching too much? lol

Doable if you get a significant discount, significant down payment/cap cost reduction (which you shouldn't do), pay all your taxes up front, acquisition fee, TTF, firsts months, dealer doc/fees up front. You'll need to get everything down to approximately $65-68K

That monthly payment is more doable on a X3/X4 where there's more BMW lease cash incentives.

For comparison, I have same car in production now with 78k msrp. Putting $0 down, paying all fees and taxes upfront which comes out almost the 5k you mentioned and will be paying 800 mo. in NY. (Had quotes from other brokers for 815, 835, even 900 mo.)

how does using a broker work? You just tell them what you want and what you want to pay? what's their cut?

Brokers charge a flat fee ($300-$500ish from what I’ve seen) and have prenegotiated discounts with specific dealerships. Not a bad option if you’re looking for a pretty good deal without the hassle.

For comparison my car has MSRP (69395) and I’m paying 685 / month. This is in NY state with taxes and fees and first month up front (around 4500). So a 6k higher MSRP car would with the same discounts as mine would be in the ballpark of $70 more per month and a bit higher payment due at signing.

Dealer Allowance: $2,000 cash back on select BMW models

$2,000 cash back
Applies to select new 2020 BMW X5.
Offer only valid 12/19/2019 through 1/05/2020
Disclaimer(s)*
Cash only available on vehicles with 1,000 or fewer odometer miles. Dealer Contribution cashback may not be available in all areas, to all consumers, or to all dealers. Dealers who participate may not be able to contribute the entire cashback amount. See dealer for details.
See State Disclaimer *

I'm waiting contact from my dealer, I have a build going, they will add any better incentives to my deal at delivery, I want to confirm this new cash back offer if it's for finance or if it can be added to my lease (looks new, see added 12/19/19 ends 1/5/20, mid month push?)

It's for finance.

At the beginning of this thread, which is updated monthly, outlines the BMWFS lease and finance credits and incentives.

excuse my ignorance, but the finance credit only applies to people who are buying, not leasing, correct?

I am wondering, will the January incentives and MF improve? Because there is probably a 0% chance to get my car this year and I need to lock in the rates for December. In order to do that I have to unlock my Experian and if I would know for sure that they won't get worse for sure I would not lock them now. IMHO the incentives can't get worse for leasing because they are not great anyway, only the MF can get higher. Also, I doubt the residuals will decrease. Any thought on this?

When you submit your credit application you get a no harm lock which enables you to take the MF/RV and incentives that were available at that time, what is available when you pick it up or I believe any month in between.
