We picked up our car yesterday. It was a bit of a saga, which I guess these transactions sometimes are.
- Late May, checked around for allocations, indicated exact options desired, got a "yes" from 2 dealers, went with the local one, put down deposit and order specs.
- Weeks later, trying to obtain the production number, learned there actually wasn't an allocation...
- Fortunately the other dealer had proceeded with my build specs, with only a wheel option change.
- Car arrived late July with knee airbag issue. Fixed after a week or so.
- The near-pristine car we were to sell this week before taking delivery got clipped in a parking lot last weekend. Arrrgggh! Stressful but fortunately that all got worked out this week, all good.
- Picked up the X5 yesterday.
- Met with @rundeyvoo today to swap wheels! So I now have the 21" 741M I had originally spec'ed and he has the 22" 742M that he had been looking for. Car looks great with either, but I prefer the 741M look and also wanted the taller sidewall for a smoother ride in theory.

The car is sooo nice.
