Lightbulb G05/G06 active grills delete?

Hey guys!

Has anyone found a way to disable the active top/bottom shutter grills?

I've removed them and now I'm getting a CEL. So, I'm wondering if there's a way to code it or perhaps someone has created a harness that can do the trick.

It seems that the DME is locked for the N63B.

Thank you!

If you just remove the grill and leave the motor still connected to the cable, it shouldn't get error.

Would love if there was a solution to this. I hate that these things close.

Not to hi-jack this thread, but those of you who deleted the shutters and willing to get rid of them for a reasonable price in the US, shoot me a PM.

Thanks!

Can you share how you remove the active shutter grills? Front bumper removal needed?

Was trying to remove it but can't find a good way to do it.

Thanks!

To completely remove the active shutter assembly you need to remove the front bumper first.
