My X5, which I got in Jan 19, was my first BMW and started learning things a few months before getting it. Picked up a lot of knowledge over the years from reading forums, press releases, etc. and have been lucky enough to obtain a few dealer and BMW contacts. Most of my learning/information though is from members of this forum as they are a great resource.

Well, now scheduled for PCD 5/23! 4/17 build date

I was offered 5/16, but I am traveling that week and this date works better for my FiL (who will guest me when he goes later this year, hopefully when the plant tours start again).

Update: Just checked my prodDate again, it moved up from 16th to the 13th!

Just hit "production begins" for my 40i - only my second BMW and super excited! Going to have to wait a while for it to be delivered to the west coast but can't wait to take my hands off the steering wheel over 40mph!

While I won't pick up for PCD until May, my production date got moved up from 4/17 to Monday 4/15 today!

Hopefully my FiL's X5 gets moved up as well from 4/19 as we really want to take his X5 on a road trip that first weekend in May!

They must have picked up two days in the schedule somewhere because, like others, my build date just got moved up two days, from 4/18 to 4/16.

I will still have a few weeks to wait, though, since it'll be put on a slow train to Seattle. Does anyone know if the folks at Genius will be able to help me track it once it's left the factory?

hey flashback - i'm build week 20, too! a week after i ordered, the bmw website still shows the first checkmark ... maddening! hahaha! looking forward to sharing my progress!

That’s what I’m hoping! My SA is a super nice guy but he seems not super knowledgeable, I don’t think he even realizes it’s on the way! So he’s not much help in tracking it.
