03/2022.20 iDrive Update

Dealer updated iDrive to 03/2022.20 today, can't see any differences. Does anyone know if BMW have released the change notes?

Car is about to be out of warranty so looking to code a couple of bits anyone know if Bimmercode is i-drive version specific/will work on this new version?

Thanks in advance.

03/2022 isn't the iDrive version. it's the i-Step version. all G05 have iDrive 7.

so to answer your question, BimmerCode should work the same after updating to 03/2022.

Thanks for the feedback guys, really appreciated.

Fired up Bimmercode this morning and successfully coded a few bits, seatbelts, video in motion etc.

Oddly seeing Body Domain Controller greyed out, is this normal for MY19 G05? Or is it a case BimmerCode needs to update their app in order for it to work with 03/2022?

I have enrolled in the beta version of iOS and BDC works fine.

I am on version 4.2(12896). Send an email to the developer and ask to enroll for TestFlight beta.

may have to update BimmerCode - my car just got upgraded to 03/2022.20 via the dealer. I was able to code all modules after I updated BimmerCode.

Thanks guys, yes the new version 4.5.0-10403 has worked. Think it was updated the same night I originally posted.

I got 03/2022.30 today because I was complaining about the night vision system which sometimes works fine, sometimes seems blind (the display is all black / grey and no alerts are generated).

It seems all settings were preserved and the odometer wasn't reset during the update.

I wish I could enable the traffic light assistant and some other things - they are in the settings, but "not available in this country".

Also, the speed limit system works better in Norway than in Finland - in Norway, the car displays the new speed limit before you pass the traffic sign and you can accept the new speed in advance and when you pass the traffic sign, the car will automatically apply the new speed. In Finland, this advance system is not available.

Everything you just described DOES work in Finland if you apply some coding magic to your car

Personally, I have traffic lights, automatic adaptation to route, automatic speed adaptation (it also shows the future speed limit that it will accept soon), etc.

Check the coding threads and follow what's written there. I didn't need to enable any of these features, but remove the checks that disable the feature if you're in a so called "unsupported" country.

PS traffic light feature is something I barely use. it's not automatic and it cannot distinguish traffic lights with double sections. If on section is red and another is green, it shows red in HUD and you either ignore or accept that with the buttons on your steering wheel

Thanks, that sounds good. Can you also enable the iDrive apps that are not available in Finland - like the driving log (or whatever it's called) and the speed camera warning app? Oh, how about the surround view in the MyBMW app? 8-)

Unfortunately, you can't. The apps are blocked on the server side.

Sigh. :-( It feels to stupid having to use your mobile phone for camera warnings - *especially* when you know the car knows how to do it.
