Windshield Wiper Clatter
Yet another annoying defect on top of the A/C issue.
Just wondering if the rest of you are having any issues with your windshield wiper? I was able to get a video of the "clattering" on the back swing of the drivers side windshield wiper.

It's hasn't been identified as an issue. I just remember the last post about the wipers the owner did have ceramic on the windshield.
My unsubstantiated hypothesis is that the hydrophobic properties of the ceramic coating affect the wiper performance because the wipers depend on the rain as a bit of a lubricant against the windshield. If you're driving at a decent speed, and have ceramic on the windshield, there's a good chance the windshield doesn't have enough water on it to lubricate wipers. The result would be the shutter. I would be interested to see if the wipers still shutter for the OP if he sprays windshield washer fluid on the windshield. |

The blades are probably dirty. Just had this happen on my car. I cleaned them with a MF towel and some soap and now it gone. I think its all the bug carcasses on my windshield.

At 500 miles. I doubt it would be dirty.
