Colorado Pricing

Just about to order a M50i. Any feedback on the best deals for the Colorado dealerships?

Any info on lease residual and money factor?

So far, I am being offered a $5,595.00 discount plus $1,250,000 Rebate off MSRP.

Lease option would be a residual of 56% with a money factor of .00168 based upon 10,000 miles per year.

Can't answer to CO dealerships but I can provide you with September program info. Without knowing what your vehicle MSRP is - it's hard to evaluate your discount.

X5 lease residuals are 36/10 - 56%, 36/12 - 55%, 36/15 - 53%

MF is 0.00128.

Loyalty, conquest eligibility and amount varies by region. Recommend also posting your question here:

I wouldn't accept less than 8% off MSRP. Some have done better.

COS won't do much more than 6% in my experience. No idea about Winslow. Denver, Schomp and Gebhardt all have potential to offer good deals - depends on the current alignment of the cosmos.

Schomp was $2000 over invoice which was 5% discount.

When I was down at CO's the other day talking to my CA he said they are still around 6% for discounts. I have heard Schompf will give some really good deals at times but obviously it all depends on the timing.

Your discount seems a bit low and they are marking up your money factor. I believe the base MF is .00128 so after your 7 MSDs it should be down to .00093.

Was there any update on dealing with Colorado dealers? We are looking at purchasing our first BMW and it has been an unpleasant experience so far as far as getting any kind of deal. We are between slc, utah and denver colorado so we've been dealing with both. At first we looked at an x7 for the 3rd row, but are now thinking of doing an x5 with the 3rd row since we don't need the 3rd row very often, mostly for emergencies with hauling around friends. SLC dealer has one that will begin being built in december. He says i can have for 3,000 off msrp. build cost is 80,000. Hasn't said if i'm eligible for any rebates as of yet. Schomp in denver doesn't have any 3rd row x5s so trying to find what they would charge if we built it. We have no rush in getting it. More want a good deal. Advice? Experience?

CO dealers don't do the volume needed to compete with true high volume dealerships.
Out of all the dealerships in CO, Schomp is the highest rated and, IMO, best in the state.
I live close to the Sonic in Glendale and it's been a painful experience each time I've stepped foot on their sales floor.

I ended up sourcing a new build out of CA.
I also spoke w David Avilles and I think he would be a good source for purchase but it seems like he is just so so busy.

My recommendation to Schomp if you must stay in CO, for highest potential discount find a high volume dealer in CA or the tri-state area.

My CA at CO’s will probably get you around 6% before incentives, at least that is what it was the last time we talked. PM me if you want his contact info.

Schomp sucks. I’ve tried to give them my business for years, and they’ve never been able to earn it. I’ve experienced every bait and switch tactic in the book, and have caught them engaging in several illegal acts. At the end of the day I find them deceitful and very inflexible on pricing- a truly shitty place. No idea how they earn high customer satisfaction ratings. Must be the clueless Highlands Ranch housewife bimbos spending their husband’s money.

BMW of Denver I have found to be pretty good. They take the traditional car dealer approach. They start the numbers EXTREMELY high, and you have to spend hours working them down. However, they do move down, sometimes substantially. It is better to go in person, drive a car and signal your intent to buy that day. They don’t like people walking out the door. I don’t think they’re super motivated to deal unless you’re in front of their face.

COs is very straightforward with what they can do over email but they’ve never been the best price for me.

Gebhardt is truly hit or miss. Lately they seem to have more motivation to make cut throat deals. I think they are trying to pay for their new service facility by moving metal on the sales side. Don’t tell them you aren’t local until after the deal is negotiated. They may move less if they know they won’t get frequent service visits from you. They were the best local deal I could find on my M50i but it was also the worst sales experience of any car I’ve ever purchased, BMW or otherwise. I would love to see them shut down with a newer larger BMW dealer popping up around Westminster, a la Mercedes of Westminster.

Winslow seems to be a joke. They don’t return calls or emails in my experience. Not sure they even sell cars to tell you the truth.

At the end of the day, the deals of 8%+ off can be had in Colorado, but you really have to work for it. Colorado has a booming economy and the dealers have become accustomed to a client base that is less sensitive to price.

Resurrecting an old but good thread here.

What is COs?

I am experiencing what you are saying about BMW of Denver Downtown, I engaged them via Chat, then got the email, then got handed off to another guy via email, made an offer on an in-stock M50i at 10% off, and got ghosted, I think.

We (Wife and I) started at Schomp due to proximity, and I laughed when they talked about at their "One Price" policy, as if that's good for the customer.

The Denver Downtown guy, when I asked about if they would give me a discount on an ordered car, said they do 5% off MSRP on orders and have more "wiggle room" with in-stock, so I am surprised about being ignored, but perhaps the way their "email" team works, they are only interested in the great deals for themselves (commission?) and not so much about selling the car, and I'm curious if this isn't some third-party team as I don't see this guy, Dimitri who emailed me, in their staff list on their website.

Anyway, Looking to get a great deal, so any and all tips appreciated. I get it with the chip shortage that is affecting car production world-wide, supply is low, so my timing might suck, but I can wait (i think).

CO's was purchased by Elway and it is now called BMW of Loveland. Discounts have never been high there but they are good folks. Let me know if you want my contact there.

Schomp was horrible.

BMW Denver Downtown is the only place I will go. I agree they use the "traditional method" but if you stay online with a number they can get there pretty quickly.

I just took delivery on my M50i last week. My circumstance was special ( had bought a 2020 xdrive 40i from them already) as it had an issue that kept it in the shop for an inordinate amount of time, so I reached out directly to the GM Ed and he and Connor took VERY good care of me.

10% +4500 incentives. I am pretty sure I will never be able to replicate that deal again.

Anyhow , nothing but good experiences there for me. Best of luck !

Ok, that's great to know. I'm not getting good responses from them over email, but maybe they feel their success rate over email is very low and don't focus on that. I emailed a Senior Sales Advisor today, so we'll see if I get a response.

I think even in your case, they are making money at the 10% off, and so again, I don't think my offer is some offensive low-ball trolling BS, but maybe they don't think I'm serious coming in over email.

Thanks again for the input though, I'll keep trying.

If it helps , both times I ordered, I started with my build code in the email and simply said "these are the numbers I need to get to" I told them I prefer to go through them before I try other dealers.

I worked with Connor , their senior portfolio guy , however honestly all negotiation was at the general manager level due my circumstance and I know a regular SA probably can't get those kind of numbers on his own.

In fact, I think it was 5000 overall in incentives, because I used my USAA membership for $500 even though it technically isn't supposed to "stack" with the $1k OL event code and all the usual finance and loyalty incentives.

I did tell him I would send people his way and they're going to know that I got a good deal. Best of luck - I do think they are a decent shop overall.

Colorado car pricing is insane. We had a really bad experience at Downtown, Schomp is closed on the best day for us(Mondays) for some stupid reason, and COs was the best for us. We haven’t gotten to pricing yet. Having a hard time between a new m50 or a cpo last gen x5m.
