Yep, you can check out the classes available for a fee in advance - range from $299+ most I recall is around $1500 for one day M school:

Yeah usually PCD is around 2 weeks after delivery. This time of year with the holidays, it gets extended to around 3.

My X5 has been completed 2 weeks ago and it'll be 2 more weeks until PCD

I have been stuck in "production begins" status since 11/8, but they are still confirming that the car is estimated to be completed tomorrow. The guy on the phone told me that sometimes you will see almost all of the steps in mygarage completed in 24-48 hours.

Either way, I'm still pressing refresh pretty consistently over here.
I had a similar experience.
Ordered: 10/31
Scheduled for production: 11/8
Production begins/VIN assigned: 11/11

Then it just sat like that for 2 weeks and then in a matter of 1 day 11/22 in the PM until now 11/23 AM it went through
Exterior body assembly
In the paint booth
Entering assembly line
Assembly in progress
Quality Check
Final Assembly

And is now Ready for Transport

MY guess is 2-3 weeks after your VIN is assigned it will be made and it is probably going through the factory that entire time but they just update the website at the very end.

The online tracker isn’t accurate. My best info came from my sales rep. They can look it up and tell you the correct status. I texted my sales rep during the process, which is a lot easier than playing telephone tag.

Also, the car gets built within a day once they start it. Then sometimes they sit in QA for a while, but often not.

My biggest delay was delivery. Took more than a week from being loaded on the truck to delivery to my dealer in Delaware. About a 10-hour drive. Unfortunately the dealer can NOT track the transport vehicle.

Once delivered they detail the car so that adds at least another day or two.

Try to memorize the manual. It will take your mind off waiting for your car.

The website is really messed up, it shows xLine right now instead of the M Sport Package, 20" wheels instead of the 22's and so on. Perhaps it will take another few days before it will appear as it was showing before when it was in "Order accepted" with the real options I have ordered.
Anyway, after I have ordered it I added the M Sport Brakes on it. Now I am thinking about adding also the Luggage Compartment Package. Should I, shouldn't I?

Ok this is painful...the car was delivered to my dealer on Sunday, but they haven't received the MSO yet. Looks like I may have to wait until Saturday to pick it up!

Do you have to call to get the VIN or is it posted on the MyGarage site?

Either your dealer or BMW Genius - they'll give you a build week.

If you recently called the Genius, I'd call/text your dealer BMW client/sales advisor. In the past I've alternated texting my sales advisor as Genius maintains logs of your call. Nothing worse than getting called out for calling frequently and getting the same answers LOL.

Too funny. Last time I called the genius line the guy who answered said, “Hold on, let me see if you called before.” I was like come on, we both know I’ve called many, many times before!

Fantastic! Congrats!

I’m just going to split hairs here while I wait...
“Production Begins” is a bit of a stretch. I think more accurate is when you look below “Production Begins” and you see “ Today's the day: your BMW has entered the production queue.”

I mean entering the queue isn’t really the same as production begins...

Saying I’m in the queue to purchase tickets isn’t the same as purchasing tickets...

Like I said...splitting hairs.
