In the garage for software update; I am on 03.2019 and I specifically asked for 11.2019 but all the dealer could tell me is that ' the system shows an update available and they will put that one.'' Fingers crossed

So..after 2 days I got an updated, just do not know which one.
Apparently due to an issue with the CDS the submenu for RSU is not visible.
In 03.2019 I could go into Bluetooth settings and it would show the VIN and the software version. Now Bluetooth settings only shows VIN.
Can anyone with 07.2019 or 11.2019 confirm that software version is no longer shown under Bluetooth settings.

Cause I am sure Dealer/BMW will take weeks to sort this thing out

I’m not sure if all menu screens are the same, but in the US, the software version should be shown when you enter the Remote Software Upgrade screen. If this is what you need, go to settings, general settings, then at the bottom the remote software upgrade option should be there. You may have to hit search for updates to show your current version.

Thats what I am saying, that particular menu is not the there.
Factory said it is not a istep/software issue but one that connected services needs to address, hence.....will take till.......forever

I want to ask a stupid question but i feel slightly at ease because i don't have connected drive and no OTA updates and thus tge avaliable menus are slightly different from what everyone else has.

So here goes... How do i check which version im running? Does not show up under General settings for me. Anyway to check via bimmercode?

Nothing under Car/Settings/General/Remote Software Upgrade at the bottom?

Another spot is Car/Settings/General/Mobile devices/Settings/Bluetooth Info/

On 11/2019.xx, both of below show version. I can't comment first hand on 07/2019.xx as I've never had it installed, but yes, 03/2019.xx also showed version in those two spots, I am sure that many on 07/2019.xx have reported their version from those locations, and there is less than zero reason or accident to cause BMW to change those just on 07/2019.xx

Check your:
- Data Privacy settings - should have selected all services allowed
- Connected Drive subs - should have Remote Software Upgrade service shown as booked in the car

Any tips on how to convince the dealer to do the upgrade from 7/2019 to 11/2019 in the US? They basically told me there isn't any recall, so there isn't anything to upgrade if there is nothing wrong. My reply was...why is there a new software version if nothing is wrong? Crickets from the SA and he said he'd call me back.

You basically just need to give them any reason. Here is one: the now announced in US Spotify Connected Music support is only on 11/2019.xx. Since it's official, they better get with the program.

I told them that my app was loosing connection periodically (true)

That triggered them to update the software
