Also curious to know how the aluminum dark mesh is holding up. I was going to go with the fineline wood trim but it looked kind of glossy and something that would scratch easily. We switched to dark mesh aluminum at the last minute and Hoping it’s nice. Have a carbon black exterior with black vernasca interior so hopefully it looks good. I was worried it would look cold or boring but it’s shows up as the popular choice when building the car online.

I have the aluminium dark mesh with Black Merino and really like it, especially the feel of the texture. Have only had the car for about four weeks so can't say how it wears yet.

Heres some photos of mine, Aluminum dark mesh trim. I have just over 4,000 miles on my X5 with no issues in regards to the trim. The photos don't really demonstrate the texture of the trim as the finish is not smooth. It does not show finger prints. Honestly, I wouldn't really want any other trim with the black interior. I did custom a build with my X5 and ordered this trim site unseen. I'm not sure however how it would be with other interior colors. Good Luck!

Well, not sure which X5 you ordered, but this is pretty much how its going to look if you haven't received it yet. This is the Carbon Black exterior and if you look at my post above you'll see my interior is the same as what you ordered. I would't have any other interior trim with the black interior. You should be able to appreciate how the exterior color varies depending on whether it is sunny or overcast. Good luck and enjoy!

I just ordered Aluminum Dark Mesh/Coffee Vernasca on my m50i (two kids, and I'm lazy with car upkeep since we only drove twice a week). I originally went for the Fineline glossy wood option but when I test drove an x40i at a dealer with Fineline/Coffee I could already see a ton of dust and a scratch on it. And the combo made the car interior feel too dark in my opinion. I also test drove an M50 with the Aluminum Dark Mesh/Black Vernasca and it felt much nicer. The ADM has a nice sporty look. My stepmother has the Tetragon on her m340, and I found that too busy.

I ordered the ADM for my black interior. Didn't really feel any of the wood trims, was after a more modern sporty look.

Like radmjk said, photos don’t do justice to the texture. Really glad I went with this option.

I have the Ivory White and ADM and it was my only choice from the beginning, love the texture shows off the lighting nicely when dark as well. I can take a close up if needed, but this I had handy from delivery.

I’ve never been a woodgrain-type guy, so went with ADM and Coffee Full Merino for my (on order) Carbon Black M50i. Hoping the combo works in real life like is seems to on the visualizer!

Same here! imo, it doesnt look as "luxury" compared to wood or piano finish, but compliments the black merino best. it also feels like a trendy/modern trim that is not overly distracting.

Before we ordered, we were able to see all trims (ones we were interested) in person and all didnt feel quite right compared to the alum mesh and piano with the black merino. decided against piano because it would of been a nightmare for my ocd

your pics do no justice on how it really feels with the black merino and alum mesh! maybe the lighting. but agree texture and color is great with the rest of the interior (from the black plastic to the metal buttons).

I agree, the contrast between the two are very appealing
