2019 and 2020 BMW X5 (G05) Ordering Guide and Pricing Guide!

I don't think B&O (Bang and Olufsen) is offered on the 2019 X5. The only upgrades I know of are Harman Kardon and B&W. Deciding whether the upgrade from HK to B&W is worth it.

I'm on the fence about this upgrade too. What I want to do is sit in two cars, one with HK and the other BW and play a playlist and see if I can tell the difference. If I can, then gauge if that difference is worth the $3300 premium.

I wouldn't consider myself a HiFi guy, but I do appreciate the nuances in music and I can tell the difference between songs played in my car vs my home stereo.

I would do more than sit in 2 cars since you won't have any road noise when sitting and the difference will depend on what you listen to mostly. If it's lossless hi-res music files then it's probably worth the money if it's mostly Sat. radio or FM probably not unless the additional $ isn't a big deal.

If you are planning on primarily listening to satellite radio then dont even upgrade in my opinion. Read this:

"Give the bird the bird. The satellite is the biggest problem with satellite radio: Its bandwidth is precious so when you have to ram 200+ channels through it you crush them with compression"

What is surprising is that the order guide does not reflect the removal of ZPP which is being replaced by ZP2 due to a supply issue with cameras.

I also found the exclusion of an update regarding ZPP/ZP2 confounding. My build clearly shows ZP2 and ZPK to make up for the change.

I believe Ametrin is a lavender-ish paint color.

It has a layer in the middle to make the cabin quieter. My understanding is that it works better with high frequencies (i.e., wind noise) and also that the front windshield has this acoustic feature standard so the $150 option simply extends that to the passenger windows. My dealer just told me my order will be modified to remove the cameras. Also B&W is available 12/18.

I will be waiting on my order until the camera supply issue is solved. Not dropping $95k to have a vehicle without cameras that most Hyundai's have standard.
