RG Sport - Wheel Spacers on G05 X5

Guys,

As promised. I spent time today to test wheel spacers on G05 X5.

Here what I gathered today.

Conservative setup: 12mm front and 15mm rear
Aggressive setup: 15mm front and 20mm rear

So, here is the picture from front and rear for comparison.
More pictures you can find on the build thread that I will compile soon.

Feel free to ask any question or PM me for quotes.

Wheel Torque information:
- Factory recommendation 103ft-lbs, I normally put 105ft-lbs.
- Conventional wheel spacer (non wheel adapter design), I normally put 110ft-lbs.

Looks really good! This would be a good thread for us to post pics of the different spacer sizes. Now I'm curious to see the aggressive setup of 15 and 20mm.

It is not that total aggressive.
Just a tad where 1" lowering will make it perfect.

Thanks Ben. What spacers are you using. H&R, ECS and I assume bolts are now 1.25x14?

Looks good. Too aggressive for my taste. 12/15 would be my choice.

I totally admit that I'm a noob at all this stuff. I plan on leasing my X5. Would adding wheel spacers create issues with BMW and the warranty? I can't stand the tucked under wheels.

If you need to claim any warranty you need to remove the spacers before bringing it to the dealer. They will say the spacers altered the drivetrain and possibly caused the problem

Dealership can create or not create issue whichever they like.
It just depends on your dealership.
Good quality and correctly use wheel spacer does not and will not cause any damage to your drivetrain or any of the suspension components.

And 90% of modded BMW are on lease.

Hi Ben, I guess it will be no issue at all until you bring the vehicle for return from the lease... We spoke via PM about exhaust deflectors and I am planning to visit you in middle of May to do that and probably spacers.

Even if you return the lease with wheel spacer on, it won't be an issue.
The local dealer will just take those spacer and sell it and pocket the profit, or even just resell the car with it on.
I even saw customer who bought CPO with Dinan tune from previous owner and the dealer doesn't even tax him for it.

I guess there was blind lease return manager When I give back my F15 they wanted 600$ for black grill instead of factory silver.

Was it BMW M Performance Kidney Grill or aftermarket?

Sometime you may need to return it at different dealership.
