Need help with wheel selection!
I am planning to get air suspension but I cannot decide whether I should get 21s or 22s. I live in Los Angeles where the road surfaces are not very good and I dont know how the 22s will handle even with AS. I would hate to drive a luxury car that has a harsh ride comfort. In the looks department, the 22s are way better than 21s. They add a character to the car.
Has anyone living in cities with poor roads feel the ride comfort of 22s with AS to be harsh? What do you recommend? |

are you going to get the m sport package?
If you are add the air suspension is only a $150 add on to m sport With that your comfort is softer than regular And your sport is firmer than regular So if you want 22”s pay $150 for air suspension and enjoy

I have chosen the largest wheels in the past on other cars and always regret the loss of comfort (without AS). On the highway it's never a problem. In Belgium secondary roads can be horrible and the ones I do daily have ridges connecting the concrete that you can really feel with low profile tires and I don't like that. AS can't really accommodate to that with the large size wheels. I had 20 inch summer and 19 inch winters on my f15 and comfort on the 19 was noticeably better. Maybe you should just have a test drive with 22 inch on the roads you daily drive and see how it feels. I don't know if 22 en 21 would differ much in comfort. Maybe for comfort you would have to chose 20 inch or just go directly to 22 inch for the better looks |
