Best trim for Ivory White interior?

Hey all- Ordering a 2020 X5 40i M Sport. Settled on Carbon Black exterior with Ivory White leather. I'm torn on the best trim. Currently I have aluminum dark mesh as my top pick but am open to other options/opinions.

thanks

We currently have the Anthracite-Brown Poplar with a Cognac interior and I think I would choose it with Ivory especially if I was getting full. It is an interesting looking wood and takes on different hues depending on what it is near/lighting.

I have that exact trim on my X5 50i M-Sport. If you don’t mind paying a little more for a extended trim, the piano black is amazing. BMW does their piano lacquer the same quality as Rolls Royce in how they hand buff it to immaculate levels. There is real depth in the lacquer to see the grain of the tulip wood. There is a “wow” factor to this combo. Wait until you see it at night with the ambient lighting.

I have the individual ash grain silver and am pretty happy with it.

Thank you both. Made this pic stitch of three interior trim options: anthracite matte, fineline, and aluminum dark mesh.

I've got fineline wood trim with Ivory Merino and I love it.

I'm already thinking about my next one when this lease ends and right now am leaning towards ivory/night blue leather and the individual ash grain silver trim (never having seen either in person). Do you think the ash grain silver would go with that leather?

I have full ivory with the fineline stripe high gloss. I don't ordinarily gravitate towards glossy trims but I liked the colors in it the best and am very pleased. I took these a couple of days ago. You can't see much of the leather in these unfortunately but you can see the colors very well as it was sunny. Honestly though, looking at the pictures other posters have already submitted I really don't think you can go wrong with any of these. Damn we have good taste in cars LOL.

thank you all! looked over some pics and switched to fineline. think the contrast looks a little sharper.

I think that would look incredible. The night blue accents would offer a great contrast and I feel the ash grain silver trim gives it a very clean look.

When first ordering we were worried the ash grain trim would have too much brown/tan tint in it (the online configurator sometimes doesn't represent the most accurate hue of color and the very few pictures we saw online were in poor light) but decided to go with it anyway site unseen. It was actually spike5150 who posted that exact picture above back in September that really provided confirmation that we made the right decision.

Excellent, thanks for your opinion on that. Now I have two years to talk to the wife into that color combination. I would like to go for full so the leather dash and door tops are blue but not sure she will care for that. First world problems.

Perfect trim for ivory/night blue.

I couldn't justify the cost for the trim this round since I selected extended ivory/night blue - perhaps in 3 years when this lease of up.

Thanks for those pictures. Your post will be bookmarked and shown to the better half many times. She is an artist so colors and patterns are items that please/bug her. She can't stand diamond patterns for some reason so initially nixed Merino but I think I have her to the point where the pattern in the overall scheme of the seat will be fine. All this and she maybe rides in the X5 once a month. Have to keep her happy though, she deserves it.

And I would 2nd the motion. Tetragon definitely, bc it looks sporty/classy with ivory and it's free. I don't like any of the other combinations with ivory.

Also did this and is such a great combo and the wood looks so nice in matte and has the raised grain that makes it look the most like real wood of any of the trims - if you can look at it in person, it is my favorite trim in 25 years of buying BMW's

totally agree, it’s naked wood so it looks superb and no one doubts if it is plastic because there no film topping it off
