Thank you for sharing this video. Please be advised that you also have the option to choose a different set of tires for the rear wheels that have a different sidewall measurements than what is listed on the iDrive. It wasn't mentioned in the video.
My X5 and I are very happy with the new Michelin tires.

Hi Maximus2002, when you were shopping for your Michelin tires did you also consider the SUV variant of the popular PS4S (Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV)?

I am considering these. Any comments?

Hi SmartSaves
Yes, those Micheline Pilot Sport tires are awesome. I also considered Pirelli Scorpion Verde AS tires, but changed my mind after reading many unhappy reviews. Went to the Tire Discount and tried to purchase the Micheline Pilot Sport tires, but their manger did not approve the sale. He said that the tires won't fit, also the car computer will throw a/some codes down the road. I brought it up to his attention that the iDrive gives me an option to choose when up-sizing the tires, he then from above his glasses looked at me and said "No".
The reason I went with the current tires was that I found good deals on Ebay and Amazon. I personally like Micheline tires more than any other tire brand. For the past 27 years, never had any BMW, and never had any RFT. I will do my best to avoid any RFT in the future.

Very interesting what the manager said. These are exactly the same size of your current tires.

Knowing what you know now, do you think these series will be okay? I don't know why these will be any different! These matches your tire size. My wheels will be staggered 741M. Ha ha ... just double checking LOL

Liabilities, I guess. He didn't want to sell me something other than what is recommended by the factory.
Your considered tires will be way more than OK, as far as I know, and I believe those will do better than what I have on my X5 now.

Oh.. I am almost pulling the trigger on Verde AS non RFT. Since they have the exact same numbers for 741 to replace the summer tires.

Did the shop mention about unhappy reviews? A discount tire shop on my side here said these are great tires especially for AZ. Can you elaborate a little more on your Verde experience.

Had no idea the air suspension computer would allow these taller wheels. Good to know, as the stock summer tires will wear much quicker.
Thanks!

I personally have no experience with the Pirelli Verde AS tires. IMHO any AS tire would perform better in terms of ride quality, and road noise. Best luck to you

This is awesome. Ordered all of these.
Can you also recommend an electric or portable wrench if you know of any ? I see a bunch of them in Lowes or HomeDepot but wanted to know if you have any recommendations. Thanks.

I made sure they are using my provided tools for the whole process of changing the wheels and tires:

Wrap this pin guide tool with some electrical tape, in order to prevent scratching your wheels. I have two of them.

I have 4 of these jack pad adapters for all 4 jacking points.

I am glad to help. It looks like you got some extra cash on your hand
Here is a list of items you could purchase, if you would like to work on your car/s:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also purchased a used BMW X5 jack on Ebay that I am going to have it in the car all the time.

Those are MY19-20, 21" style 744 orbit grey wheel upgrade option for xLine models.

For MY21, they're only available in bi-color - polished silver face, orbit grey inserts.

Hey Maximus - for the first link in your post below, I have a question. I saw some posts suggesting M14x1.25 hangers and your link is M14x1.5
Which one should I buy ?
2020 X5 xDrive40i, with 21" staggered setup right now going to 19" winter square setup.

Auricom is right, so here is two more pictures as you requested. Just to mention that I am still very happy with these Michelin AS tires.

Interesting that the 1.5s fit. I used the 1.25 on my last swap based on the data below.

Correction to my previous post:
The correct size would be Metric 14x1.25 thread. Really good catch BHCJJS, and I appreciate that. I honestly don't know why the link takes us to the wrong address, so I am going to delete it from my post!Name: Alignment pin.JPG

Thanks guys. I selected the appropriate one.
Now on the hunt for a good portable floor jack. There are some good deals on floor jacks these days. Good timing with all the thanksgiving deals.

By the way I pulled the trigger this long weekend on the 19in and Pirelli Scorpion Winters RFs.
Thanks all. !!

FWIW, all optional tire/wheel assemblies for any vehicle are all within 1-2% of the same OD...so, it doesn't matter if they're say 19" or 22" wheels on the X5...the speedometer and odometer will read the same if you were to switch. Sometimes, given certain brake choices, you may not be able to get all of the choices because of clearance levels to the brakes. The difference in sidewall height can make a big difference in the ride comfort as you change the wheel size, though. Smaller wheels are generally recommended when switching to winter tires.

Hey guys. running into a problem. Over the thanksgiving weekend, I researched a few jacks while my tire rack order is in transit to my place.

I have air-suspension and at its middle level, the ground to jack point clearance is 9in for fronts and 10in for rear. Most of the jacks I saw on amazon start with a minimum height of 11in. I can go do a floor jack but that would be my 2nd preference. I would really prefer those bottle jacks which are low profile and portable.
I found a good bottle jack on Harbor Freight - 8ton with minimum retracted height at 9in and 4ton with min height at 7in. I would prefer the 8ton one.

The issue is with he 8ton one starting at 9in height, there is no place to have the jack pad https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The bottle jack's protruding arm has a circular top (1 and 1/2in) diameter.

2 questions - can I do the bottle jack compared to floor jack? here's the link (https://www.harborfreight.com/8-ton-...ack-56734.html) and if so can I avoid the jack pad.

If you end up with an actual flat, especially if you go with a normal, non-RFT, the clearance will decrease, so you need to take that into consideration plus, you don't know exactly how flat the ground will be so tall may not be a viable choice.

If it's just to swap say winter-summer tires, then it shouldn't be an issue.

The vehicle is heavy, and a small, round pad, without an adapter to spread the load properly, is likely to bend or damage things.
