Very confused right now... dilemma...e46 to e90....
well, i made my deposit to purchase the e90 325i with no options.. besides the heated seats and auto..
the price is 32, 400 which is about 1000 off invoice.. but at the dealer site i saw a a CPO E46 330xi fully loaded including all packages and navi with 29k miles for 31,400..... now i know that this price is negotiable and that they may give better financing rates on CPO cars.. now.. is bare stock E90 325i worth forgoing a what seems to a very good deal or is it worth it to go for the fully loaded e46 330xi?? hmmm i saw both on the way home today and I can't decide! the new or the older-used??? ahhh |

i would definately go for the E90... 29k miles is a lot of mileage compared to being able to get a brand new car. Besides, the new E90 is an amazing car and even though i dont have my 330 yet, i am certain that its a true sports sedan and will please you no matter what. You should also get the Xenon lights because it definately makes a big difference in terms of looks and much easier to drive at night..... i highly suggest you not to go for the 330xi... and the 325 is just as fast... |

the E90 comes with a lot of base features. I just got mine with only sunroof and sports although we have more base features on the 325 in Canada [at a higher price of course]. New technology and design, I say go for the E90. It will handled just as well without leather seats, 6cd stereo upgrade, power seats etc..

Okay, here are my questions back to you...what do you like? toys (features) to play with or a new looking style?

hmm that's difficult to say..
if i was getting a base 330i then i would have said the styling... but with 325i, i must say that 330xi seems so tempting.. which is a better performer? e46 330xi with sport or e90 325i? better value considering price? and since i would put about 25k miles a year on the car.. i don't think 29k really matters too much.. hmmmm.. this is frustrating.. |

i think this is a very difficult dilema
let me be honest, you may kick yourself later for not getting the new model. and that might be the deciding factor. otherwise a 330xi loaded is a freaking sick car man. also considering its loaded vs. a stripped e90 i might have to go with the e46. also of great consideration is how much the awd means to you. i had it on my e46, and to be honest, im looking forward to having a 2wd car. as they say a true sports car is front wheel steer and rear wheel drive. |

I would never buy the last model year when the new model is available. You're going to have the "it" car for the next 7 years with the E90.

definately go for the e90 cos now the e46 is starting to look dated as there are more e90s on the road

It's all good
I have just sold a 330ci (2000 model E46) and taken delivery of E90 sedan.
The E46 was a very good car - the E90 is an outstanding car. My thoughts are pay a little more for the E90 325 now and save the heartache of trying to sell the E46 24 or 36 months from now (resale value might bing on a medical condition). Should you require any further convincing test drive both cars back to back on a winding section of roadway - I rest my case. Happy motoring. Regards Gucci, Sydney, Australia |

Great choice! The E90 325 is a fantastic car! If you can afford the 1500 for the sports package I would get that for sure... And consider euro delivery to save!
