Hmm, I should ask my dealer for the ship code then. He assures me my car arrives 18th May, so thats the same time as Jeffs car which kinda makes sense. Perhaps my VIN is incorrect then... dealer said my car would be ready for me to drive 10 days after the 18th May...

Just tried that code on the shipping websites but it's different to the call sign so it didn't work...
Tortugas codes should be: IMO Number:9319765Country: United KingdomMMSI Number:235050734Length:199.0mCallsign:MVQH7Beam:32 .0m

Written by Isaac Bober for First Drive testing the 135 in NSW.
"Bang for your bucks and brilliant to boot". All pretty positive, even quoting the Fifth Gear duel with the Cayman S. "It's a much more of a rapid and comfy GT than an out-and-out sportscar." -- prob one of the few reviews not giving a negative to the ride. "more effective engine than the M3... engine sweeter than M3". 2 criticisms: "it [engine] could sound better. Sure its got a nice hard edge but it lacks the aural character (delicious pop and crackle on overrun) of the 3.0 liotre six-cylinder engine fitted to the 125i Coupe." WHAT THE...! "steering feelsvery light - not bad, don't misread me - and there's reasonable feedback and zero judder. But, ultimately, it feels wooden and it's hard to overlook something like that in a car that is so brilliant in so many other areas." "There's plenty of room for four adults inside. No, really, there is." "...at a price that beats anything else in the range, and just about anything else on the road, hands down."

The computer says my car left the factory on 4/4/08, 17 days ago. So for the life of me I don't know why it hasn't found a boat. Maybe it coming overland !?!:iono: Perhaps my car in on it way and the error might be with WWL updating the VIN. Here's hoping.....

It MUST be on a boat if they say that. Should be the TORTUGAS as it is closest to that arrival date.
Probably someone at WWL dozed off while inputting our VINs Kris. I am hoping that I will get a call from the dealer when it miraculously appears in his yard next month.... till then I'll keep checking WWL's site...

No dates yet Kris. She told me that it will be one of the first, if not the first car delivered at BMW Melbourne. However I imagine there would have been others ahead of me given that I probably won't get in it till the last week of the month. Typically they take 10 days to 2 weeks from the docks to your hands. Given Tortugas gets to Melbourne on the 16th from memory, I am not going to expect my car any earlier than say 26th.

Would've loved to have done the Romantichstrasse and then through Fussen and the beuatiful Austrian roads in the 135. Might just have to hire one instead. |

The VIN corresponds to my order. That's it. He accessed WWL thru the BMW system and same story - no boat yet. He couldn't give me a delivery date, just that it "should still be able to make it before the end of May". Given we couldn't shed anymore light on what was happening from his computer, maybe he is just shooting from the hip.:iono:

My little baby is on the Tortugas and due in Fremantle on 13 May. I'll be there on the dock to welcome it. I'd like to thank WAY for his spotting that my VIN number was slightly misquoted on Page 1 of this thread. This last monday I had a very excited dealer on the phone to me to tell me what a fantastic time he had on Phillip Island last weekend. There must be something really quite special about this little BMW for a carsalesman to take time to phone a customer that gave him a deposit for a car 11 months ago to tell him what a fantastic car it is and probably the best car he's ever driven. This from a man that regularly drives M3, M5, M6 and 7 series BMW super cars! He was very proud of his 240km down the straight before braking. He also took time to tell me that one of his associates has chipped his 335i and is the local agent for a very well known chip reprogramming company.....hmmmm! That's what you call after sales service.
