Estimate time from production to complete?

Hello,
My dealer told me he got a slot open for March 1st production.
If I order with him tomorrow, and let say production date is on 1st or maybe few days off. Would I be able to get the car before march 31st to meet the tax credit deadline?

I am debating if I should take the car on the lot from another dealer with slightly higher price(not the color i want) or order one with the built i need but risk of not getting the tax rebate if I miss the deadline…

Does anyone aware the actual production begin to completion takes? Will I miss the credit if delivery exceed March 31st?

Thanks!

It takes less than a day to complete. If your production date would be the 1st you likely would be able to take delivery around the 6th, probably sooner. It usually takes two days to get to NY.

Check with another dealer before making any decisions.

While I think Alpine White looks pretty good, especially with MSport and extended shadowline... I think that whole no blue or gray is BS - for what it's worth the configurator still has those colors showing.

Wow! That’s amazing. Anyone have experience with the timeline to west coast? I ordered a ‘24. Don’t have a production date, but know they are supposed to start building in April

I'm learning a lot from the experts here, very helpful.

I plan to buy my first BMW, moving from Audi and Porsche. It's refreshing to see the "value" I'm finding with BMW, especially compared to Porsche where my options list would typically come to at least $20K, it's nice to see BMW include many of the features that are normally an upgrade with Porsche.

Couple questions from the 2024 pricing guide I downloaded from this forum (I plan on buying the 50e):

With the $2750 M Sport pkg, does that include the kidney grille being blacked out? Or do you need to also get the M Sport Pro pkg to get the blacked out grille?

I didn't see a package that includes massaging seats (pricing guide says it's in combination with ZLA but didn't see ZLA listed as a package in the guide). Does anyone know if there is a package that includes the massaging, and it's just missing from the guide? I see that 2023 did this.

Also, has anyone from the Bay Area ordered yet a 2024 50e and is MSRP the best offer they're seeing for now from Bay Area dealers? Thanks for all your help.

The blacked out grill is part of the extended shadow line trim so you would need the order the M Sport Pro package to get that.

The massage seats are its own option. You would need to order the multi contour seats and Climate Comfort package as well. Ignore the ZLA comment, that was a Luxury Seating package that included them.

I’m not sure where you may be having the car delivered to but I’ve been waiting at “awaiting carrier assignment” since Feb 16. I’ve been told that the trucking company is having issues. I live in Denver. This might be a problem just affecting Colorado. I would keep that in mind though.

I'm in MD. The car is at “awaiting carrier assignment” since last Friday. Hopefully we all get our cars soon.

I’ve also been “awaiting carrier assignment” since last Friday…and my Atlanta dealer is only 154 miles from the factory!

It was 24th.
My dealer called me today and told me it could arrive tomorrow... but, at least online right now it has not changed since 24th.

I hope that it unfolds that way! Maybe it’s easier to find carriers up and down the east coast than to ship a car out to the west coast…

West Coast goes by rail, the rest are by truck.

Ohh that makes sense! How long does getting a car on a rail usually take? If they use Norfolk southern, aren’t they dealing with that huge unfortunate spill in Ohio?
