Can wireless charging be disabled in settings?
Can wireless charging be disabled in settings?
If so does it remember the settings when you turn off car and back on?

A search of the online manual for my X5 shows only one setting for the wireless charging tray; it is the reminder setting to remind you if you leave the car with your phone in the car.
The manual also says that if you want to turn off the LTE Compensator you have to have a dealer do it. The LTE Compensator is the feature that, in effect, connects your phone to the outside antenna for better reception. "If you should be requested by the FCC to cease operating your booster you are not allowed to insert your mobile phone in the charging tray anymore unless the booster is permanently deactivated by your local BMW dealer." |

Really? the charging tray can't be perm shut off? I hate having my iphone charging all the time. Really kills battery life/perf over time.

Edit: Not saying there shouldn't be an option to turn it off, just trying to understand the situation. |

I think wireless charging works when the phone is within certain distance from the charging surface and no metal between the charger and phone. So maybe you can experiment with something to put on top of the charger surface to "block" it from charging your phone?
