Has anybody here driven the i44 to the i40? Tips? Advice?

Taking a road trip from St. Louis, to Tulsa, to okc, to Amarillo, to Albuquerque, to AZ to LA.

However- tornadoes scare me. I look at the weather and the worst I see is "thunderstorms" but not sure how bad they are. Anybody care to chime in so I can stop having a panic attack/updating my will?

He's staying at his girlfriends home.

My bud and I are driving 16 hours straight to get out of Missouri/Oklahoma ASAP- but I seriously have no idea what to expect. Like, I don't want to be naive and say "it's just a thunderstorm" knowing thunderstorms fuck people up out there. Not to mention tornadoes.

You'll be fine. Chance of death probably not worse than 50/50. I kid. Thunderstorms should be OK. Usually, it would say "severe" and there'd be warnings and stuff if they were, you know, severe. You should be good to drive.
